★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After the service I received by gurpreet today. I will effectively be shutting down all of my accounts with Cibc abs be switching to a new banking institution. Every time I come in they give me attitude. And treat me poorly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience with booking an appointment with a financial advisor. This is the first time I realize a BANK does not have enough resources to handle the anticipated volumes. Please, go online and check their availability. They are always booked, very inconvenient. Thankfully, Scotia Bank is next door and I was able to find an availability way earlier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I dont even bank at this institution. My father passed away in 2021, and I had to close his account. I have made several attempts to contact the branch to figure out what is going on with my dads account since it went to probate. NOBODY has returned my calls, I even made a call to the head office for assistance and yet still NOBODY has made contact with me. Looks like I will have to go down to the branch for a FOURTH time to see if I can resolve my fathers affairs!! Very disappointed with this bank.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I met with an advisor on February 24th. From the moment I walled in to her office, it was quite obvious I was bothering her and she viewed my appointment as an inconvenience.
The appointment had been made for me by CIBC Investments and I was told I needed to bring documentation for my request to be processed. I was told there would be notes on the file. This advisor claimed there were not.
She argued with me about why I was there, and when I finally convinced her to call the Investments team to get the required information, she called the customer service line.
I noticed when she finally took a moment to look at the account, suddenly she knew exactly who she needed to call.
She was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She literally sat in her office and argued with me over the necessity of the appointment.
She called me three days later to schedule another appointment in order to fill out a form together, the form I had gone in originally for when she dismissed my need to be in the branch.
I will never again bank with CIBC based on my experience with this advisor.
