★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had great transactions with this bank and the personnel that work within. From first walking in to be greeted by a smiling individual who welcomes me, to bank tellers who have exchanged currency or just cashed in my kids change! I appreciate the business that I do with them :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic service. As a visitor to Canada I went to four other banks in the area looking to enchange foreign currency. Was denied at all as i didn't bank with them. But here, was served by a teller with a can do attitude who figured something out for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experiences with this bank (and specifically this branch) are abysmal. Rude tellers and associates who tell you one thing that contradicts what the call centre in Toronto tells you. Trying to get the truth out of the employees of this bank is pointless and a waste of time. I already have a full-time job and don't have that kind of time to check and double-check what people are telling me. If I can't trust you to get it right the first time (or at least the second time) then I transfer all my business to Scotiabank...which is exactly what I did. I would avoid this bank at all costs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used the ATM to take some money out, pretty embarrassed.. Grabbed my card and left the money sitting in the machine. I wish I'd gotten his name, but as I was pulling away one of the staff ran after me because he had noticed I forgot it. Of course questioned me just to double check the amount, but I am so glad he was paying attention, because I sure was not!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is kinda late, but I just want to compliment Mr. Ferdinand who went out of his way to help me in completing my banking applications. The first encounter was when I went there to finalized the transaction I have done online, but missed out my appointment. Mr. Ferdinand, even though it is not his scheduled appointment and I believe he have more important things to do, reached out to me and offered a helping hand. I was embarrased for missing the appointment, but felt relieved when someone as helpful as Mr. Ferdinand came by to offer help. He even did a follow up on me as promised, days after for my credit card approval. His customer service attitude really tops it all. CIBC-Portage Branch is so lucky to have such a jolly, helpful and overall awesome personality as Mr. Ferdinand. I hope there would be more like him in this service sector. Thank you very much Sir Ferdinand.
