โ โ โ โ โ I was denied access to care at this clinic because of my weight. I know many others have mentioned they never answer the phone, which was true for me as well. I was literally calling non-stop till I got an answer and then after getting all my private info, I was denied to book an appointment bc I'm fat. Medical discrimination at it's finest.

While apologizing is nice, it still does not solve the fact that your clinic denied me care for an essential health care procedure. How about letting my post inspire you to actually create REAL CHANGE by starting with having an examination table that safely lays people above 250 lbs. (I failed to mention at the top that this was another reason why I was denied access to receiving care at your clinic). Please save your apology and your wonderfully written blog post and actually do something to increase access to fat women for something that is an essential part of a woman's healthcare.
Also, you mention that you will gradually increase the BMI up to 50 in your blog post, keeping any BMI restrictions for an essential healthcare procedure is still medical discrimination. Until you completely remove the BMI restrictions, please know that you are continuing to perpetuate harm and lack of access to care for fat people. Please stop acknowledging the harm you continue to cause and actually create REAL ACTION.

โ โ โ โ โ I was so nervous for my procedure, but the nurses and entire team was the kindest group of people Iโve ever met. They were so reassuring and warm, I felt really safe in their care. I would suggest everyone to come here.

โ โ โ โ โ The most kind and gentle staff ever. I cannot even begin to express how much they have helped me during such a rough time in my life, I felt alone but they made me feel so supported and cared for during the whole thing.
From the nurse, who was so kind and so supportive, the doctor who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, something about her just makes you feel so safe, to the after care nurse who was so patient and kind.
Thank you so much, I forever be indebted to your kindness.

I have extreme anxiety and they made me feel comfortable .
The after care phone line / medical nurses for after hours are amazing as well thank you for assistance

โ โ โ โ โ Don't be intimated by the sanitizing room- once you're past it the waiting room is super cozy and welcoming. All the women who work there are super sweet and professional as well. I have extremely small veins which makes it difficult to draw blood, but my nurse did it first try! :) (I'd recommend booking online and not over phone though)

โ โ โ โ โ I got my procedure done today and believe me when I tell you this place is the best. Right from the receptionist to the physician and nurses, everyone was extremely nice and super welcoming. lol they asked me if there was a particular song I wanted during the process and I got to play my song. they made me feel so calm and comfortable I couldn't have imagined not getting my procedure done here.thank you all.

โ โ โ โ โ There are so many feelings and thoughts that come with a choice that isn't favorable. Health and women is such an important topic that requires the most sympathy and care. Every employer here at this location deserves a round of applause and a huge hug!
There is no judgement, questions, directions in your choice, they are informative, supportive, helpful and consistent in aid through aftercare.
They hold high protocols during COVID and they will ensure that you are getting the best medical treatment possible.
If you were hesitant in making a choice... look no further. I thank every single staff member here you've allowed me to feel at ease with Mt choice. I felt more judgemental about myself than anything. This clinic has a team that every female in Canada deserves. give them a call! You won't regret it.

โ โ โ โ โ I attended this clinic this week, it was warm and welcoming from nurses, clerk, doctor and counsellor. I had previous abortion at different clinic and had a bad experience, where nothing was explained to me. Everyone I spoke to on the team that day explained everything thoroughly and I felt it was a good energy with everyone I connected with. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone, they help you get through it!
