Owner's a sweetheart, customer over foodβ€”which is a double-edged swordβ€”but the price, location and service makes it worth the more than other Chinatown venues. For a cheap bite after a night out, not a bad spot.

Visiting again and continuously impressed. Delicious food with such a range of flavours and textures. I got the spicy mung bean jelly which continues to be my all-time favourite dish. Spicy and deep flavouring with the soft jelly texture is a treat. Also steamed noodles and a tofu green onion pancake. The noodles are a wonderful staple, and while the pancake was a mistake on my part is was a delicious mistake I'm certain to make again!

Great value and everything really had a handcrafted feel to it. We ordered 6 items and the portions were so big we have food for the next few days. They also had a good amount of vegetarian items.

Tbh, with that many other clean and tasty restaurant around chinatown, I don't know why I decided to came to this sketchy place. You can even smell the gas when he turn on the stove.

This place has changed hands and the current owner does not follow any food safety and sanitation procedures , I am a registered certified food safety inspector / instructor. What I saw was jaw dropping and sick to my stomach . They were washing dirty dishes and vegetable in the hand washing sink in the kitchen , the cook / owner never once wash his hands after touching everything including his dirty jeans and clothing. I ordered $30 worth of food , I couldn't eat the green onions pancake as I saw numerous cross contamination. I did pay $30 and told them what they are doing is against the law , they have the audicity to scream at me asking for tips. I have filed a compliant to Toronto Public Heath inspectors using my creditials .

Very fresh, piping hot and delicious dumplings and noodles. Absolutely delicious fungus and cucumber salad. Stumbled on this place while in Kensington Market.

We enjoyed the pork and cabbage dumplings in sour soup, vegetable and tofu steamed buns, and red bean paste steamed buns, all for a good price (and too much food for two). The owner was very generous and so were the portions, said he's been in business for 22 years. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall local restaurant worth checking out for Chinese food.
