China Village - Edmonton

Tonight I ordered from China Village. It is the best Chinese food in the city of Edmonton Alberta Canada. They always fill there containers of food stuffed and the food is so yummy. It is the only Chinese food place that I ever order from and recommend.

After living in Edmonton for so long and practically trying all the OG Chinese restaurants and the new ones, I find that I always come back to this restaurant because of the following reasons: - FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE: It does not matter what time I go, they always answer the phone happily and have positive demeanors. Whenever I ask for suggestions on what I should try, they happily provide suggestions without making me feel like a nuisance. - FOOD IS QUICK! I’m always shocked how they can get the orders done so quick. And if they are super busy (especially during the holidays) they give you an estimation of how long it’ll take (which are often pretty accurate estimation). - FOOD IS ALWAYS DELICIOUS. I’ve seen some reviews below that food are too soggy, burnt or bland? I don’t know if those are true reviews or just a bunch of Karen’s, but I’ve been going here for more than 5 years and have always been given good quality tasting food. My top top favourite items on their menu are the chicken wings, special fried rice, peach yum yum shrimps, assorted seafood and mixed green (crispy is soooo good) and all of their chow mein! Those would be most frequent item choice. - FOOD IS CHEAPEST compared to other places in Edmonton. If there are other places that runs cheaper, I’d love to know because I want to save money too, but for the speed of their food here, the quality and the delicious taste which is always consistent, the price just fits into my budget as well. - They take cash, debit or credit cards which is a relief since other restaurants take cash sometimes. CONS - There’s quite a lot of solicitors by the store next to them who sometimes stand very close to your car and not do anything. - Parking is small so beware of car getting hit by poor Edmontonian drivers - Wish there was dine in during the pandemic, but its only pick up and delivery. I’ve finally decided to leave a review after all these years because I wanted to see how the google reviews are and after reading them, I’m shocked by some of the reviews because I’ve never had a poor experience with these people. Of course you don’t have to choose to believe the reviews but I personally feel some people are over exaggerating their experience because one small thing didn’t go their way or they had a minor human error of mixing up an order. If you had a problem and talk to them, I’m sure they would happily resolve it with you based on my experience with them. If you find yourself coming across this restaurant, be sure to try it out. As someone has said previously here, this seriously is a little gold mine in Edmonton.

The worst chinese food ever in my life phoned back everything fresh it good.....BEWARE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.....Wanted money back and was told no....DISGUSTING........

I ordered from this little gem . As a kid it was a different name . Anyways I was very pleased with the food . 2 dinner for 1a,1b . Beef n greens no peppers yes . Dry ribs are meat not gristle Sweet Sour pork chunks of pork not fat. You did a awesome job on my experience. Recommend this place for great food.

Horrible horrible food. We ordered the Dinner for 3, and all dishes were disgusting! The beef and Broccoli tasted like fish. Honey garlic chicken was so watery and soggy. Absolutely NO FLAVOR in the chow mein or fried frice. Disgusting. If you choose to order from here BE WARE. Tried to call them and tell them about the food we received and was told 100% fresh no problem. It was horrible food and would not recommend to Anyone!!!

First time order and was fast friendly delivery and fresh delicious food .. will definitely order again

I ordered their food online and their online menu doesn't even list what is in the dishes. So I had to call and ask whats in the Singapore chow mein, and the person said it came with pork and veggies, that's all he said, so I order it and said no bean sprouts or mushrooms with chicken instead of pork. What I got was a container of just noodles, no sauce, and shrimp and chicken. No veggies at all. He didn't tell me that sprouts and mushrooms were the only thing in the dish and that shrimp was part of it also. Complete waste. Never ordering from here again.

This is our go-to spot for Chinese food. Love that they give you free items when ordering certain $ amounts plus give you a discount for picking up your order. Each order is a good amount of food and feels like a great value to us. The restraunt is in a small strip mall in North Edmonton and doesn't look like much but the food has always tasted good when we have ordered.
