I have number of complaints with this store: 1. The person with whom I had the consultancy appointment was different and the person who did my hair was different. I asked the lady who was doing my hair that where’s the guy who took the consultancy session but she said he doesn’t like to do hair of Indian people as they complain a lot. I don’t mind this, it’s okay if you don’t want to my hair as I am Indian but why the he’ll management booked me with that person if he’s not comfortable. Wasted my time for that consultancy session as I had to tell and discuss everything with the lady who did the hair. 2. I was not her priority client, she had another client coming for whom she was desperately waiting as she told me that I have to do in hurry with you as I have other client coming. Very poor customer service. 3. I asked for water as I had to take my medicine, she said we don’t give anything to customer because of COVID restrictions. We use to give coffee. And I had bleach in my hair that time so I couldn’t go outside to buy water for myself. 4. The lady was doing my hair in hurry so she did the bleach first then washed it then mixed the colour in tube and sprayed that tube in my water and massaged it and it was almost like water. I don’t know the technique whether good or bad but I was not comfortable with it. 5. I showed her the picture and how colour looks on it say how highlights go but she said it’s because of style of blow dry.. I didn’t wanted the same colour but only the style.. highlights on top and ombré in bottom but my whole hair is mix of ombré and highlights. 6. She was complaining about the questions I was asking as she was in hurry and then mentioned that you have a long and heavy hair which needs At least 7-8 hours but management told me only four hours and of course she can’t do it in 4 hours as in the past where ever I have done my hair, they take 7 hours. Again poor management. 7. I complained to the manager after paying for everything as I didn’t wanted her to think that am saying all this to pay less but she said she’ll talk to district manager and give me free services. I told her am not ever coming back here but she didn’t mentioned a single time that I’ll give you some discount. I know it’s not her fault nor that’s lady.. but whom to talk to. It was for my birthday party in the evening but seriously you guys ruined it. It’s so hard to get a appointment at your salon, had to come from Vancouver, shorten my birthday trip for this kind of service. I would have ignored everything but Racism, refusing for water and doing somebody’s hair in hurry. Wasted my time. Seriously, really bad future for this store.

Zero stars if I could. I was in last week for a cut and asked the stylist to keep the length but give my hair a bit more movement, meaning some light layers at the bottom and some shape to my curtain bangs so it wasn't so blocky. I left the salon with a mullet and my hair was three inches shorter than when I came in. I called later, extremely disappointed with the haircut I received and asked them to fix it for free. They said they would but it had to be the same stylist. Now, I understand that if a stylist messes up a haircut they should be the first ones to fix their mistakes. However, the stylist did not listen to me the first time. How could I trust him to listen to me and fix the awful cut he gave me? I requested a different stylist but the lady on the phone was firm and told me I could have another stylist but I would have to pay full price again. I understand the policy but if your customer is unhappy it is your job to provide better service. Overall extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Do not go here, they will butcher your hair.

My son got his hair permed and they did a fantastic job. The customer service and the follow up have been fantastic. The hairdresser checked in to make sure the curls were still holding. My 4 year old also had a haircut here and the stylist was extremely patient, and skilled at keeping her haircut straight with how wiggly she was! I don't think I will go anywhere else for a cut, both of the chatters in town can't be beat for value and quality.

i’ve never met a hairstylist in my life that “didn’t do updos because it’s too hard on their body’s” “we don’t work with bobby pins” i’m sorry if you don’t do the basics for being a hairstylist you shouldn’t be a hairstylist. pretty simple. if your looking for any proper styles i wouldn’t attempt to go here. extremely disappointed in this location!

Worst haircut ever. I’ve been growing my hair for a year after having it shaved off-I showed pictures, told her I was growing it into a specific style, that I hated it short around my face. I regret going there and spending so much money on what I hope would be a professional cut. The woman even said something about my hair being curly. It isn’t. It’s thick, and sort of wavy. I should have walked out. I was so excited that I was finally able to tuck my hair behind my ears. I can’t even sleep thinking about this. I told her I wanted to grow my hair into an inverted bob. This is the opposite. I tried uploading a photo, didn’t work. Wish I read these reviews before making the appointment.

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional. I have never left a bad review in my life but if this doesn’t warrant a one, I don’t know what does. I made an appointment with Dara over 6 weeks ago for my Bellami hair extensions. I am from William Lake (3 hours north of Kamloops.) I got up at 5am with my husband and 4 year old son, my husband took a day off work so I could get my hair done, we drove 3 hours to Kamloops to have the receptionist call me 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment to tell me that I would have to reschedule. Dara lost an amazing potential and loyal client (not many people willing to travel 6 hours round trip for their hair…) Dara’s reasoning for the cancellation is that she was “ill.” Interestingly enough, she just happened to be ill right before my appointment on a Saturday was supposed to start. She just wanted the day off. Who doesn’t know they’re sick the night before and at least have the decency to cancel before their client plans to travel three hours each way to see them. She can say she was “sick” all she wants, I don’t believe her for a single minute. Dara should be utterly embarrassed and ashamed of herself and I will never recommend her services nor book an appointment with her ever again. Ps: instead of messaging me to apologize for her being so unprofessional. She blocked me for the review I have left her. Clearly, she has no personal morals.
