Patty and Jasmine go above and beyond to make every interaction with them easy, pleasant and welcoming. Right from the start, they made transitioning my mom into the residence seemless. My mom is so happy here - loves the food, loves the number of activities and the premises are beautiful! Her only complaint was that she hadn't moved in five years ago! Thank you to the entire staff - you are simply amazing.

Playing the Flute and tin whistle with a program including Classical, Irish, Jewish and more. I first played at Hollandview in 2010 and I was made to feel very welcome by the residents and the management and have been a regular entertainer until March 2020. I found the surroundings very relaxing and stress free. When restrictions allow I will be so happy to entertain there presenting good music with good humor and a little laughter added in. I highly recommend Hollandview as a place to retire and live well.

I just wanted to say what a pleasure it has been. You have always been very accommodating. As well, I have always thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with the residents. Through Aurora United Church, I know some of the people who are or have been members of the church. I just wanted to add that of all the dozens of senior’s residences where I sing, Chartwell Hollandview Trail Retirement Residence stands out as definitely being one of the premiere places in the area to work… and I’m sure live and play. They are a lively bunch, happy and very responsive. The staff there are very courteous and take good care of the residents. I always look forward to coming back to Hollandview Trail to bring cheer and happiness to everyone there!

I have been volunteering there for months, and one of the main things I notice is that staffs are very approachable and nice. They always make sure that the residence are feeling comfortable and happy. Also, there are a lot of fun events every day. I am actually assigned for Bingo and I also help during Arts and Crafts time, and I always see that the Residence are having so much fun. Lastly, when it comes to safety of the residence and staffs during COVID-19, this place is doing a great job. All the protocols are being followed, and PCR tests are required before entering. Overall, it is a wonderful place.

Chartwell Hollandview was the first home that we visited and from the moment my mother & I entered the facility, it felt very warm and homey. We were greeted by Patty, the Retirement Living Consultant, who was very friendly & welcoming. Patty gave us a great tour and took all the time that was needed to answer all of my mother’s questions/concerns. We visited 4 other homes, but none felt as good as Chartwell Hollandview. My mom decided that this was the place that she wanted to be. My mom moved into her suite a few weeks ago and she is extremely happy with her decision. She can’t say enough about how friendly/helpful the staff are and how delicious the meals have been. She has already been enjoying some of the activities being provided and is looking forward to participating in the variety of offsite activities/trips that Chartwell has to offer. Seeing my mom enjoying her new home is great and knowing that she is being treated so well is just awesome. If you or your loved one is looking to move into a Retirement Home, I would highly recommend Chartwell Hollandview.

Her sister lived here at Chartwell and raved about the staff, the food and her comfort in this environment. We did our due diligence and toured several homes in the Aurora and Newmarket area however we kept coming back to Chartwell Hollandview. The warmth of the staff, in particular of Patty , the comforting setting and the programs were very exciting! There was a welcoming feeling the minute we walk through the doors. The programs are wonderful and the care and attention for my mom has been outstanding! In particular moving in after a pandemic my brothers and I wanted to make sure my mom was in a safe and healthy space. Chartwell has been fabulous on all levels. Now my mom attends regular exercise classes every day, has met new friends, attends regular entertainment events and even bingo! She has gone from living on her own for 27 years to being in a place that she can meet new people, continue to be stimulated and try new things. The communication from the staff has been excellent and they are extremely helpful whenever we need assistance. It has been an amazing decision and I see that my mom is happy, comfortable and enjoying her time at Chartwell. That is all we could’ve ever asked for. A true success story!!

In my many shows at this location I have always been incredibly impressed by the personal care and respect all residents receive from their wonderful staff. Residents are very closely attended to based on their needs, and treated with great spirit, care, dignity and kindness. The facilities are second to none, with many amenities more reminiscent of a luxury ocean liner or five star hotel than what one typically imagines from a retirement home. In addition to the Hollandview Trail location, I have been very impressed by the uniform professionalism and organization of the many other Chartwell locations I have performed. Clearly as a company they value making sure residents are stimulated in positive ways, and live music is a big part of the many activities residents can take part in. From my work at Chartwell Hollandview Trail I felt very comfortable and confident to recommend Chartwell to my own mother, and I encourage anyone who is interested to have a tour and see for yourself.
