The nicest people I have met in the elderly residential industry. Great facilities and a place where you know your loved ones are looked after.

Vigilance & love evident in every area from front desk safety, programs & meals to caretaking. Exceptional staff! Thank you ?

The best staff you could possibly find. They really care about their residents' happiness. My grandmother is very lucky to be there.

Great place all said! My mom & Dad live in one of these Amica facilities. Main dissatisfaction: is that Amica does NOT make everything fresh by a chef or Sioux chef as they state on their website? Update: 2019 Recently bad reviews by health Canada! Not clean in food/kithchen areas. Not enough staff! With what they charge per month, there should be enough staff! Cheap! All about the profit and the school board who owns Amica! It was an amazing place at the beginning and now over the years ! Very disappointed! Food should be fresh, not frozen! The residents are older and don't eat much anyway, so why are you feeding them Talapia!? It Should be fresh halibut on Fridays! Don't cheap out! These seniors made our country what it is today so at least feed them quality fresh food, especially when you charge so much, roughly at around $6000 plus per month/ per couple! The elderly being taken care of now in these retirement facilities are THE Respected Men & Women who made this country CANADA safe for us by protecting our country and many with their lives! So, the Teachers Union owns these retirement facilities and instead of only thinking of the bottom line-PROFIT for their investors, they need to give back and start by honoring what you state online! Each facility is supposed to have a chef and soux chef plus a staff to make fresh soups and meals, etc. I do not see this happening. Food is one of the few enjoyable things left for our elderly! So do what you promise as per your website! Seriously! Thank you for listening!? Please share!!? Picture below is a recent lunch I had with my parents. I could not believe what my BLT looked like! The thinnest tomatoes 1/8th inch and 1/32 " thick sliced cheese!? it's like they took the slice and sliced it again! Only $18.00 what a deal! Seriously!???$$$ Time for families to pay attention! It wasn't always like this! They use to be the Best! Not Now! So, why did it change so drastically as the years went by? Anyone?

My parents have lived at Amica Newmarket for almost 3 years now. It was a difficult transition from living in their home to moving to Amica, but the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to make them comfortable. Sheena, our consultant was wonderful with them as were the rest of the staff. Particularly appreciate Hagis and Mike for all their work "fixing" their electronics and other items in their suite when we could not get there to do so. My parents call Amica home and we are happy that they are healthy and well looked after in between our visits. The staff have been specially innovative and attentive, while overworked, providing activities to keep all busy during the ever changing Covid protocols. Thank you!

Transitioning from a well loved house to a less independent setting is probably never easy but the team at Amica have been very caring and responsive and reassuring. I feel as though there is a community supporting my loved one - a community with whom I can connect any time despite the 500km of separation.

Didn't spend too much time there...had lunch with a resident. Looked really nice from what I can tell.
