Chapter1 Daycare and Preschool - Calgary

My daughter loves to go to Chapter 1 a lot; the teachers were very caring but also focused on her learning development. Not only she had fun doing many interesting crafts but also got to spend time to play outside. Everyone at Chapter 1 took very good care of her. I can tell that she has learnt a lot in the past year and a half and she will definitely misses the teachers and her friends. I highly recommend Chapter 1.

Our family has had an exceptional experience with Chapter1. Our son, an only child, started daycare at six months. We were nervous, but the staff were incredibly responsive and diligent, and we quickly felt very confident in his care. They have always been able to accommodate our special requests - from feeding him milk sent from home, to no sunscreen due to a possible allergy (etc). When it came time to start feeding solid food, they consulted us and discussed how they would integrate meals into his day. We appreciated the care they took during this transition. Our son is now in the toddler room and continues to love daycare- he gets lots of attention but is also learning to play with others, share, and follow daycare rules (naptime, etc). Dee is very helpful with developmental questions and concerns, and was able to suggest resources for helping our son’s language development (including a possible in-daycare assessment and therapy, if needed). When it was time to move from the baby to toddler room, they slowly transitioned and held him back by a month to ensure the timing was right for him - this attention to individual needs is one of the things that make Chapter1 stand out to me. Overall, we are very happy with Chapter1, and plan to leave our son there as long as possible, until it’s time to start school. Since his first day at Chapter1, I have felt that the staff truly care about the children on a personal level, provide lots of affection, and a sense of security and routine. I would highly recommend Chapter1 to other parents.

My son has gone to chapter 1 for 4 years now (He’s just about to transition to kindergarten). Chapter 1 has been so supportive to me as a solo parent, when I lost my job, through the ups and downs of having a very active, never stopping, competitive son, and throughout covid. He has always liked his ‘teachers’ and he has learned so much (including a bit of Spanish, French and sign language). I highly recommend this daycare and don’t think that you will be disappointed.

It took me and my husband a long time to find a daycare in downtown to be happy with. Both my kids attended Chapter1 and we have nothing but great things to say about this daycare. They have amazing staff, wonderful program manager, and great program. They challenge the kids and make the environment exciting for them . I highly recommend this place to families who are picky and care about their kids development and care. Thank You.

The teachers are so caring, my son hugs his Pre-K teacher each day, before going home. They make sure to discuss any positive and negative actions and behaviours as well and make an effort to work with the parents for solutions. The centre is always very clean and the meals prepared are very much enjoyed by our son. Our son is always coming home with interesting craft projects, new songs and stories of friendship. They are flexible with payment schedules and work with the parents to make sure the child is getting the care and resources needed for success. I am grateful to Chapter 1 for the years spent with our son, helping him grow. We are sad to leave but now that I am working from home, instead of downtown, it's more sensible to have him closer to home.

Both of our kids have been at Chapter 1 since they started daycare - 4 years now for our oldest. The staff have been attentive, kind and reliable and their response to COVID has been top-notch, allowing our kids to consistently attend. It has been great to watch them develop and learn at Chapter 1 and both will be sad to leave their friends and caregivers when entering school. Highly recommend!

We love Chapter 1 Daycare. It is clear that the teachers care about children and do everything to foster their development. The daycare manager Dee is amazing. She always listens to any concerns with compassion and is ready to provide appropriate solutions. They have also successfully kept the children safe and heathy through the pandemic. We are lucky to have found such amazing care for our son.

Chapter1 Daycare has been a great daycare for both my kids. As a teacher, I have been impressed with the education and socialization programming they have implemented. Not only are my kids excited to attend every morning, I am confident that they will both be more than ready for Kindergarten when ready to attend.
