Chappelle Veterinary Clinic - Edmonton

Typically I bring my dogs to the Rutherford vet clinic, but wasn't able to get in for a couple months and figured I'd give Chappelle vet a try as it's closer to my home. The front desk isn't entirely knowledgeable on pricing, and provided contradictory information when asked. In general just unprofessional. I didn't enjoy the treatment from the veterinarian either, he was not pleasant. Though one of his helpers was fantastic, but she was not our main service provider. I give 2 stars based off of this reason, otherwise my review would've been 1 star.

My cat is scared of the vet as most pets can be, but the vet was very unsympathetic about it. I understand he did not feel comfortable doing a check up on my cat while he felt scared but I was charged full price for an examination that did not happen, only gave him his shots while I held my cat. Told me several times I should have him on anxiety medication for his behavior when he is usually calm and friendly, even with strangers. A single vet appointment is not a good reflection on assuming my cat is always like that.Only upside is they recommended a stronger medication than what I used to calm him prior to his appointments in the future. The lady at the front desk was very sweet towards my cat and much more understanding of his attitude at the time than the vet.

My cat had a sudden injury and I couldn’t get into my regular vet for at least a couple of days. Chapelle veterinary clinic graciously agreed to let me bring my pet in and got her treated almost immediately. Everyone was so kind and professional and I never once felt rushed or hurried. Definitely the place to get your pets taken care of.

All around a very good experience with the front receptionists and Dr.Bassam. He gave time for my two cats and myself to get comfortable with our appointment as there was a lot of anxiety and stress coming to the appointment and being comfortable with another stranger. Dr Bassam listened to the trauma history of my pet and proceeded with caution and care. I also received followup advice for dietary recommendations as per treatment. I appreciate that the visit and treatment plans are also affordable. Thanks

My poor retired racer greyhound was limping and we were able to get her in same day. They were so good to her and us. They took time with her and explained a lot of things to us. He explained that it's not the nerves causing the limp because her paw bounces back which is a really good sign. Explained that it could be a ligament tear or a possible tiny bone in the foot fracture. Gave us the option of doing x-rays on her leg and foot to see if anything was broken. We opted out and went with pain killers and rest for 2 weeks and if things didn't improve we could bring her back and they would do x-rays for us. He also discovered at that appointment she has a heart murmur. Which is something that my other vet clinic had never mentioned. And she had just been there recently. He was very upfront about pricing all the way thru the appointment and gave us the option of what WE wanted to do to help our Greyhound. Nothing was ever forced on us. It was always up to us. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday they called to check up on her and see how she was doing. That was so amazing. Of all the pets I've owned over my lifetime, this is the first vet clinic to call and check up and see how my dog was doing. That made me feel valued and that they care. Hey Pretty Baby (Baby for short) is doing fantastic. After 3 days she was back to her normal self and we decided to stop the meds. Turns out she just had a sore foot. She hasn't shown any indication she is in pain and has not limped in 2 weeks. Thank you to all the staff at Chappelle Veterinary Clinic. They are friendly and caring. I will be taking my Greyhound here from now on.

We recently moved to the area and needed a new primary clinic for our crew of 5! I have been nothing but amazing with this clinic. All staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. The clinic is warm and inviting as is everyone who works there. We recently had an unfortunate accident with our kitty and it gives me peace of mind knowing we have such an amazing clinic within a few minutes drive.

We were visiting family in Edmonton over a long weekend when our dog fell ill. We called several vet clinics but everywhere was full. Chappelle double booked so that we could be seen immediately. Being that we were squeezed in, I assumed we'd be quickly given pills and sent on our way (and honestly would have been okay with that, i was just grateful we were being seen). Instead the vet did some tests and spent a good 20-30 minutes going through test results with us, ensuring we understood exactly what could be going on. He also provided guidance on what we should do if issues persisted when we returned home. All of the staff were so kind and helpful! The price was also very reasonable; we were not charged any additional fees for being seen on a double booking. It is clear the staff truly care about the animals and their families. Excellent experience overall!

Chappelle Vet Clinic is nothing short of AMAZING. I usually bring my cat into Fort Saskatchewan since I moved to Edmonton. My cat has been very ill so I decided to bring her to Chappelle. I was nervous to bring her to a new vet. They fit me in immediately at 8:30AM and I had called them at 8AM. The vet is incredibly genuine and caring as well as informative and realistic. They did everything to figure out what was wrong with my baby and didn’t let her needs burn out my wallet. She even got a heating pad and blanket after her blood work and IV fluids. I would recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their pets. My roommate is also switching to this vet because she can be confident they will take good care of her due to my amazing experience. If you are looking for a place to take your sick pet, just know you can take them here and you don’t have to be worried. The vet truly cares about the well being of all pets and I couldn’t be happier with their services. I would give 5 million stars if it was possible.
