Century Plumbing and Heating

Absolutely terrible customer service, service in general and over charges. He was at my unit for less than 30 minutes and I am being charged for 1.5 hours of labor because of how far away he was before my place (out of my control) and the time he took to complete paperwork. I understand I am expected to pay, given that he did come by. However, I am not okay with being overcharged especially given the unprofessionalism, and the fact he did nothing to fix the heat. He called at 1:01 pm to let me know he was on his way. At 1:27 pm, he buzzed into the building. He left at 1:51 pm as per the surveilance video. This proves a total of 26 minutes of 'work'. Not to mention he stepped on my cat's tail, which almost required me to take her to the vet as she was in severe pain, and it was kinked for multiple days. He insinuated I was crazy because it "isn't that hot" in my unit and when I showed him the thermometer I purchased that weekend which read 28 degrees Celsius. His reasoning that it was showing that was the thermometer was wrong or broken even though the thermostat clicked between 25 – 30 degrees Celsius and was set to zero. There is a $15.00 for shop supplies, which the technician did not use any materials. I am being told this is also for covid19 masks which seems ridiculously high and was not discussed prior. He stated on the invoice, 'Tenant did not secure new t-stat to wall, I offered to fit it in properly, but she declined, and she would do it herself". This statement is entirely incorrect and a lie. I asked him to fit the thermostat, and he said anything to do with the thermostat he would have to call property manager to ensure he could do so and that he would have to charge me for cutting into the wall, so I declined and have since done it myself. I am on the condo board and we use this company for any issues in the building. This past summer they "fixed" the ac unit and had to come back an additional 2 times because they did not fix it properly. Each time they charged us despite this being their issue for not fixing it properly in the first place. They have since forgotten to put the ac unit covers on since October. Absolutely terrible company.

I’ve used Century on 3 different properties. They did an excellent job, when promised and for the price quoted. Wayne and his crew are very knowledgeable and not afraid to offer suggestions on better and cheaper methods to get the job done. Top marks.

Do not use them for any emergency after hours as they don't want to come out and do the job eventhough they are listed as 24hrs. The guy we had was rude and made sure to let us know it was overtime and a minimum of 2 hours . Which we were fine with as we needed someone out. He was there for 15 min and still was not pleasant. Called the next morning spoke to reception who said she'd get a manager to call me and nobody ever did

Needed emergency solenoid and thermostat replacement. Julien and Devin saved my day. These friendly guys were knowledgeable, professional, quick, and just what I needed to get my life going again after a very bad solenoid leak. They replaced both the antique solenoid and thermostat that probably came with this 1970's building. Julien and Devin are a good team that worked tirelessly for a few hours and I can't express how appreciative I am at the wonderful job they did. I hope they're paid well because they freaking deserve it.

Century Plumbing did a great job on a faucet replacement for a kitchen sink. I know that it was a tricky install because of the deteriorated countertop but they did an awesome job and I couldn't be happier. Everything from the initial contact with the office to the completion of the repair job went exceptionally well. Highly recommend!

I'm on a condo board and we have been using Century Plumbing and Heating for 5 years since the old boiler was replaced by them in 2016. They are a professional and ethical company that performs work in a timely manner. In my 18 years of living in the building (11 years on the condo board), this is the first company that actually performs maintenance on the boiler and the HVAC system. The other companies in the past did not perform the maintenance but billed us like clockwork. I am very happy with Century Plumbing and Heating. Keep up the good work, Century!

Very friendly, I messaged them on Facebook and they got back to me right away. Their weekend call centre has some issues with miscommunication though. Everything got sorted out. I did end up paying about $6000 all together including repair that wasn’t necessary and my new AC unit which I love. The tech was so nice and stayed to install and repair well into the evening. I really appreciate it so much. Especially when it’s 30C out. I have epilepsy and my dog is 140 pounds of fluffy beast. Im so grateful for my new AC unit.

The service at Century Plumbing and Heating was great, and I would definitely recommend them! They were able to come on the day I phoned, and arrived promptly when they said they would. Sam was very thorough in investigating the cause of the water leak and took time to explain possible options, and answer any questions I had.
