When our furnace stopped working on a Friday night in the middle of a cold snap I was alarmed. I called the company and they dealt with us promptly. Liam did a wonderful job explaining things to us and installing a temporary motor while we wait for our replacement motor. The replacement motor came far earlier than we expected. We’ve used this company before and they never fail to do a great job. I highly recommend them and we use them for all our heating and air conditioning needs.

Highly recommend this company! Our furnace quit on New Years Eve in -35 degree weather and they were available to help. Love the professionalism, responsiveness and timeliness of all employees that we worked with. Will most definitely use them in the future for maintenance and emergency issues.

We looked at a couple of companies and got a few quotes before we chose First Call. I'm so glad we did! All of the employees were respectful and helpful from getting quotes, to install, to troubleshooting cold areas in our house. First call was the most available company. What I mean by that, is I could talk to everyone in the office if I needed too. Before choosing my furnace type I talked to multiple managers in the office. Even the assistant who you first talk to on the phone knew exactly what I needed. They were the first company to come and actually explain how things worked. They gave insight into things we didn't think of and no other company mentioned either. The price was better than other companies and they even had a promotion going on that allowed us to get our furnace earlier than later. Our house is an older and there were a few rooms not getting as warm as the rest of the house. Our first tech that came out was Liam. He was super helpful and again, took the time to explain things we needed to know. Also, Steve and the first call furnace specialist came out after Liam to check a few more things. They gave many ways to increase the flow that are inherent problems in an older house. Everyone is respectful, on time, and efficient. So glad we got our furnace from them and will be using them for any future work needed!

We had our furnace fail at the start of the December cold snap (2021) and luckily our first call was to First Call. They fixed up the motor and got us going. With the age of our furnace we decided on getting a whole replacement after that. They walked us through and explained everything every step of the way, while making sure to see what we wanted, and as first time home owners it was amazingly relaxing and helpful to have them on our side. They've even been back when something went wrong and continued to look after us. They've given us piece of mind that we have the experts in our corner and that they will look after us.

My furnace started acting up last week when it was about -30 outside. My house is set at 70F and when I woke up in the morning it was down to 63F. I called Atco - I thought they fixed the problem as my house began warming up. When I got home from work it was down to 60F. I called first call and they had to send someone after hours and the fee would be $375- I understand it’s OT so it will be more expensive so I agree to have them send out a service tech that night. The tech arrived at about 730PM. Now my furnace had been running for about an hour because I came home and reset it. When the tech showed up and looked at the furnace he said β€œwell you have heat so I can’t give you anymore.” Fair enough but my furnace tripped and I would like to know why so it doesn’t happen again over night. As the tech was getting ready to leave my furnace tripped again and my house was still not up to temperature. The tech then went back Into my basement and was down there for another hour. They stated that it must be my ducting and they don’t want to order parts until the ducting is clean. At that time my furnace was still not running. I asked the tech before he left if my furnace will come on, he said yes - it will just keep resetting. After paying $500 the tech left without fixing the problem and did not actually diagnose the problem. The service report states that the furnace was operable when they left when in fact it was not working nor did it work all night. I ended up having to get a completely different company in to fix my furnace and also had the ducts cleaned (which was not the problem at all). The issue was a limit switch that could have been fixed very easy. I do not recommend using first call especially if you are in a pinch. It was terrible service and when I called the next day to Inform them that the problem was not rectified- they couldn’t care less. Update** I had Dan, the service manager from first call contact me and he was very apologetic about the service. Dan ended up refunded me part of the initial cost which was such a blessing. Their customer service is definitely much better than I had initially thought.

My good friend referred me to this company. I had reached out to a few companies for AC installation during the heat wave of Summer 2021 and this was the only one to actually respond. They provided a good price (3 options), and were very communicative and friendly. We opted to also have a Smart Thermostat installed too (EcoBee). Quality of installation was great and they provided easy to understand maintenance documents. Now we can be prepared to deal with future heatwaves and temp changes. Would recommend and use again for future. Thank you!

We own an older house, where the furnace & hot water tank were installed in the dead centre of the basement. Furthermore, in the late 70's an addition was built on & had a completely separate furnace to heat it. Neither were even close to high efficiency. We'd been planning this coming summer (2022) to move all of the HVAC & redo the duct work so it would only be 1 furnace. However, our hot water tank decided that we weren't waiting when it sprung a leak & was irreparable. We had a number of companies come & supply quotes and at the end of it all we chose to go with First Call. They were a good price, were the only ones to give us a temporary tank (we'd been without hot water for almost 2 weeks at that point) & sent the sales guy out on the Sunday of a long weekend to get things moving quickly. Over the course of the not quite a week that the whole process took, we had 6 different people here, between sales, hot water tank installers and furnace/duct work installers and the service we received from absolutely everyone was above & beyond. The office staff were excellent & very communicative at every step. When Tony was here to install the temporary tank, he was very friendly & worked quickly. That same night, he had to come back out because we still didn't have hot water, replaced the heater coil & solved the problem. When installing the new tank, he did neat, beautiful work, making sure that everything worked perfectly. Richard and Mark both have very apparent meticulous natures and it shows in the quality of their duct and furnace work, leaving no minor detail unaddressed. They were always cheerful, despite our normally friendly dog constantly barking when they needed to move around the house. I honestly can't complain about any part of the process and the finished work is fantastic. They kept the work space as clean as possible under the circumstances & didn't even complain about having to go in the crawlspace for hours. They were friendly & knowledgeable, never hesitating to answer all of the many questions we had. I would absolutely encourage anyone needing work done to make First Call their first call, you won't be disappointed.

Great local company, very satisfied with result, new furnace made my house much comfortable and save $$ on heating bills. Happy I got 0% short term financing and huge discount when choose furnace and AC combo. Estimator-salesman Steve and installation technicians Darren and Matt are high professional honest specialists, provided detailed explanation for all my questions. They even called to plumber Tony who fixed leaked hot water tank for free! After installation guys left basement cleaner than it was before. I would recommend First Call to anyone looking for new equipment.
