Centre Street Animal Hospital

My first experience with Centre Street Animal Hospital was 5 years ago when I began my Co-op placement with them. Being behind the scenes at the clinic, I was able to see firsthand the incredible treatment and care Dr. Slome and his team provide to their patients. All of my dogs are now seen at Centre Street Animal Hospital and I am continuously impressed with the quality of care that is provided for them. Flash forward 5 years and I am now a student veterinarian and I’ve been fortunate enough to have Dr. Slome as a mentor, and learn from all of the staff at the clinic each summer. I can confidently say that everyone who works at Centre Street Animal Hospital is incredibly competent, caring and passionate. I couldn’t ask for better care for my fur babies.

Great place to take your vet, all staff are professional, knowledgeable and they provide great customer service no matter how may times you get in touch with them to ask questions. Great doctors too, they spend time explaining everything and answer all questions although they have many patients. The hospital also provides educational material which is really helpful for new pet owners. Absolutely recommend this place.

I am a first time fur mom to an 8mo old shihpoo. Charli has been a patient at CSAH since we got her at 8 weeks in January 2021. She has always had a great experience in the clinic and never gives me a hard time when I have to drop her off for her appointments. In fact she practically jumps into the staff member's arms when they come out to get her ( I am convinced that she is part kangaroo !!). I have been extremely impressed with the service and care that she has received to date at CSAH. My questions and concerns are always addressed in a timely manner, either by phone or by email. I was most impressed with the care that she got after her recent spay surgery. Because she is a very active and playful puppy [owing to the fact that I still believe she is part kangaroo :) ] she had some issues with oozing from her incision postoperatively. Dr Slome and his staff were always there for me with my gazillion emails, and saw Charli several times during the 2 weeks following the surgery, to put my mind at ease. His care and advice was spot on and she did very well in the end. I would recommend Dr Slome and his clinic to any fur parent who are looking for a veterinarian for their pet. We think he is amazing!!

If we could give Dr. Slome’s practice 100 stars, then we would. His caring, compassionate response each time our dog required care and/or treatment was superb, and we could not have asked for more. He is the best vet we have ever had.

The best and friendliest animal hospital in the GTA. Everyone is so friendly from the moment you walk in. Dr. Slome is so good with the his Four legged patients, he takes his time and very thoral.Staff always follows up and checks in after every visit.

They say all bad reviews are fake profiles and not a client of theirs, shame on ur clinic , Worste experience ever, they’re heartless and want to rip you off, they don’t even care about the animals, heartless business people who want to sell their products and services to make money , And whoever is not happy will be called a fake profile Such a corrupted clinic ,

Took great care of my cockapoo even though she was nervous about going to the vet. This was the first time i went there amd was nervous myself because I didnt know what was wrong with her. Anyways, they were super frendly and Dr Slome took the time to explain what was happening with my girl. Thanks!

Read completely to understand the rating - When we called last fall, it was disappointing to be told they were trying to locate a new Vet and we would be placed on a wait list. They estimated that it may be January before a new Vet would be in place. We went back to our old Vet to get our dogs Rabies shot, so the pressure would be off and had them send your office all of Leia's paper work, so a file could be created. I then called in March to find out why we had still not heard anything. I was told a new Vet was in place, but they were slowly going through the wait list. I felt it was handled poorly, but you were able to get us in that week. For this, I would have given you a 3 star rating. BUT, from the moment we had the appointment booked, and we brought our dog in, then afterwards, the phone visit with the Vet and the follow up call with the Vet after the blood work came in, SERIOUSLY, 5 STARS!!! Your new Vet may be the best Vet I have every had the pleasure to chat with! I am thrilled our baby (12+ years old) is in such great care! Taking the time to explain and answer all questions. Understanding our financial concerns because of my own health. Breaking down all the options and allowing us to make sure we are fully understanding of the decisions and what will work with our family! You are a GREAT addition to this office, and KUDOS to the rest of your front office team. Personable, smiling, pleasant to chat with as they took in and brought out our dog! Thank you!!! The only thing I would like you to understand is your waitlist process should have been handled better. I should not have had to chase down the call back.
