★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lorne is amazing at cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) - which is a very efficient method of counselling that skips the “why” you’re the way you are (childhood, culture, life experience, trauma, etc) and focuses very quickly on solutions for the immediate present. Time ($) is not wasted unpacking things from the past. Research shows that skipping most of that (CBT) is the most effective treatment and that’s why it’s covered under benefits.
Lorne helped me through the toughest season of my life to date. I was burnt out from work, depressed and had recently gone through a break up. Near the end of our sessions, I was in a good head space to build a meaningful relationship with my now wife and was feeling a lot more confident about my work.
The brain doesn’t like change, which is why we get stuck in our negative behaviour and thinking patterns. If you are “stuck” personally, in the workplace, or have a difficulty in relationship with others, take the next step and look at yourself in the clearest mirror possible, then work through it efficiently and quickly - go book a counselling session with Lorne!
