We have a wonderful weekend staying at Cardinal Pines Cottage. The cottage is sparkling clean and well-equipped. The BIG lake view is amazing and peaceful in the winter. all of us are blessed with this precious family time. For sure, we will be back for our next vacation.

This cottage was nice and spacious. Very clean upon arrival but I was disappointed by the lack of privacy from neighbouring cottages. We came with three kids and constantly reminded them the lower their voices to not disturb others. There is a small dirt road in between the cottage and the lake. Everyone was very nice and welcoming but I did have the expectation we would be the only ones around with much more privacy. The lake was nice but no shallow entry for the kids and dog. Everything worked great i.e. internet, plumbing, appliances etc. A lot of bugs during the night so we just stayed inside. Smooth communication and exchanges with property owner and manager.

Nice lakeside cottage for our family winter trip. All adults and kids love it so much. It got a big deck, and huge windows~ Plus, smooth communication during the rental process. For sure, we will come back to this lovely place in summer time.

We just returned from a week at Cardinal Pines group of 10 (40 year olds to toddlers). It was amazing. I will break it down into Pros and Cons. Pros: Randy the manager next door (Loralea Resort) is simply unreal. His hospitality was over the top (letting us use the resorts amenities- kayaks, boats, paddle boat, sandy beach). I can not thank him enough for everything, he even provided us with baby gates for the out door deck so our toddler wouldn’t wonder off. The lake it self is beautiful and the views from the cottage were breathtaking. The cottage is very nice. Lots of space for everyone, beautiful floors, spacious living rooms and kitchen. Access to two fridges and laundry was a great bonus. There is lots of room outdoors as well- other reviews mention the driveway between the cottage and lake but it really is not an issue. Cardinal Pines is the last cottage on that driveway so no one uses it. The dock and sand box were big hits with all our family and the trampoline was enjoyed daily. Cons BBQ needs to be updated. It’s the main form of cooking especially when you are in Cottage country- need to have a great bbq. BBQ had a broken grill and was in general disrepair (rusted out bottom) uneven cooking zones. The only other issue would be that there is not much privacy. Cottage right next door with a dock within 20 feet and Loralea Resort on the other side. It was a very quiet week for us but I can see how it could be loud and busy. Also there is no sandy water entry. There is a set of stairs that lead to a small rocky shoreline. It’s not convenient for young children but is manageable. And as I stated earlier Randy did offer us to have access to the beach at his resort next door. Overall it was a great cottage on a beautiful lake with excellent hospitality.

Just returned from a fantastic family vacation at this beautiful cottage. We had 4 generations enjoying this beautiful lake house, from 18 months to 85 years young, it certainly met all our expectations! The managers Randy and his wife Suzanne were very helpful and friendly, taking care of all our needs, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, we are already planning our return for next summer, thanks!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Cardinal Pines. We found it to be very spacious and well appointed. Halls Lake is beautiful and everyone in our group loved swimming off the dock. There are also wooden stairs leading right into the water from the shoreline. It is rocky by the shore, but we all had our water shoes and everyone from the 2 1/2 yr old to the 60+’s could easily enter the water this way too. A small man made sandy area is located right by the water. It was equipped with sand toys and a water table. The toddlers in our group spent hours playing there. My favourite aspect of Cardinal Pines is the gorgeous wrap around upper deck. The view of the lake was lovely. It was also the perfect spot to watch the beautiful sunrises. We ate most of our meals out there as the patio tables easily accommodated our group of 10. We can not say enough about Randy, the Property Manager. He was extremely helpful and very kindly offered us use of the facilities at the small resort next door. We loved everything that was available at Cardinal Pines and didn’t feel the need to take advantage of his offer, but we appreciated it none the less. We have rented quite a few cottages over the years, and Cardinal Pines has definitely been our favourite to date!

Well, I'm a little late to the table. I've had a hectic summer (my daughter's wedding and all the planning took priority) but am finally getting around to posting an overdue review. We stayed at Cardinal Pines Cottage this past June and I have to say, I'm surprised at what I'm reading from some recent posts here. We had such an exceptional family vacation, I have to weigh in. Ten of us stayed at this beautiful cottage, ages ranging from 16 months to 82 years old. Every one of us had such an incredible time and didn't want to leave when our time was up. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spacious, spotless and so comfortable. A private hot tub, kayaks, canoes, and more, all at our disposal, and yes, we took advantage of it all. A couple of rainy days and we turned to satellite TV and WiFi for the kids but fortunately that didn't last long, Nobody was bored for a moment. For me personally, sitting back on the deck overlooking the lake with my morning coffee, in the quiet and seeing some of the most incredible sunrises over the lake was beyond amazing. An unexpected bonus was the neighbouring resort. The older kids wore off energy playing volleyball on their court and met some new friends. We were also allowed unlimited access to their sandy beach, more paddle boats and kayaks as well. The water was a little cold but the kids stuck their toes in for a bit anyway. As for privacy, the resort has only one small cottage close to Cardinal Pines and it in no way interfered with our vacation and privacy. We are already coordinating dates to all get together there again next year and can't wait!

Really nice cottage in a beautiful setting at Halls lake. Randy the property manager is extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The cottage is big, spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you need to make your stay amazing. The beach/boat docking area is not private, but I knew that in advance and had no issues with it. I'd definitely come back here again next summer.
