Will NEVER return to this store ( or any of them). I bought a gift before Xmas and made it very clear it was for a gift later and made sure to ask if it could be returned. When I went the other day the lady told me I could only exchange or get a store credit. What a bunch of BS... she was very rude about it as well. I will definitely never shop at this store again?

These people are very happy to help their customers, very patient and understanding. These folks do not pressure their customers into buying unwanted jewelry! This is the place to get all your jewelry needs looked after!

Jack (the owner) is a smooth talker who makes alot of promises. My husband bought my engagement ring from this store years ago. Jack promised life time warranty, and said "Don't worry, we will take care of you". Soon after I read horrible reviews about Jack putting fake diamonds in his rings and selling them for full cost. I read stories of people taking him to court, etc. Worried, I went to have my ring appraised by a jeweler and thankfully mine was okay. However, I learned that my ring should have came with a certificate and warranty paper work that needed to be filled out every 6 months. Well, I fought Jack tooth and nail to get this. And at that time he said the same thing "Lifetime warranty, we will take care of you". Everytime I went to get my ring inspected I didn't trust this company, I always felt like they would remove the diamonds and replace with fake. They also ALWAYS screwed up the Rhodium to the point I had to get it re-done over and over. Their work doesn't show that they care for what they do. My wedding band is from Michael Hill and it always comes back looking brand new, every single time. Recently, my paperwork was full and I went in for another inspection and to get a new sheet as I was promised lifetime warranty...they told me my warranty was only good for 5 years. So, I called Jack and left a message. Days went by no response. So I called his store and was told he would be there until 5pm. I drove from out of town to get there before 5pm only to be told he left and went home. So, I left a message. Then days went by and I called again, left another message. Same thing...finally I got mad and was told Jack is very busy and doesn't have time. I said "He can spare 5 minutes of his day to call me" - Then, he called. Jack was rude, and fought with me over the phone saying he never said life time warranty, and how the price of gold went up, blah, blah, blah. He said he would offer me one more Rhodium free of change (Honestly, I dont even think they did Rhodium because it always came back looking the same as it did before). And they would offer the same as any other jeweler would - free inspection and cleaning. I am disgusted with their customer service, the promises made and not kept and Jack himself. I am SHOCKED they're still in business. Do not go here! Go to some place reputable like Michael Hill, where they CARE about your business and their reputation. I will not be taking Jack up on his free one last time Rhodium offer. In fact, I almost feel relieved I NEVER have to deal with this company EVER again. If only my husband knew, he never would have purchased my engagement ring from them. So I hope this review helps other men from purchasing jewelry at this store.

We have used this jeweler three times in the past year and each time our experience has been exceptional. My husband needed to get his wedding ring cut off since he could no longer remove it. Another jewelry store had told him he would have to go to the fire station to get it cut off. We knew that wasn't true so we tried another jeweler. It was Carat Jewellers in the Sherwood Park Mall. The gentleman at Carat Jewellers worked for 20 to 30 minutes turning the ring cutter. His hand was aching because he was left handed and using a cutter designed for a right handed person. He didn't complain, he just continued turning, despite the pain, until the job was done. And then he did an excellent job repairing and resizing the ring. When I lost the diamond from my wedding ring, Tommy at Carat Jewellers, didn't just fix my ring, he surprised me with a beautiful upgrade for no additional cost. My ring has never looked so beautiful. Thank you so much Tommy, that was an amazing surprise! And when we brought my 87 year old father-in-law to Carat Jewellers to get a new watch battery, you would have thought he was buying a new watch, not just a battery. Tommy again went above and beyond, reassuring my father-in-law that he would take good care of his watch, he just needed 15 minutes. He was very kind. We are very happy with Carat Jewellers and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Dropped off an item for overnight repair. Came back 2 days later. Item was put in a drawer and forgot about. Shopkeeper had no idea what I was talking about & had no record of me being there. I had to identify the item for them. Soooo,. anyone could have gotten away with my stuff.

Had to have my wedding rings joined together. Forty years of wear, wore down one of the rings. I was quoted a rediculas amount at another jewellers and asked Carat Jewellers what it would cost. $300.00 less!!!! Very good service and my rings look brand new! Thanks Carat Jewellers!!

I purchased a black stainless steel chain and wore it for 10 days and I brought it back to the store because the black was coming off already. They sent it in and 10 days later said there was nothing they could do because I wore it and they told me it would eventually wear off a bit. Well eventually to me isn’t in 10 days seemed more like years when they told me. Tommy told me to go to Home Depot and buy some gloss black enamel spray paint and to paint it! I then had to wait another 3 days for it to come back and when I picked it up I said all I wanted to do was exchange it for a different chain but you don’t won’t to help me so I will probably never be back! Then Tommy said oh what kind of chain were you thinking? I ended up buying a silver chain that he gave me a small discount on but I should have just went somewhere else as every other jewelry shop was having a Mother’s Day sale and it would have been $100 cheaper! He also offered to fix my wife’s cracked wedding ring for free but when he looked at it he then said he would need $60 plus $150 to fix the prongs holding the Diamond! My bad for trusting someone like that. Oh well definitely won’t shop there ever again!

SHOP AT PARIS JEWELLERS INSTEAD. Please do not buy jewelry here. Please visit any other jeweller in Sherwood Park Mall. Teddy and Carat Jewellers do not deserve your money. The manager judges customers on their dress. If they appear “sketchy” he will avoid selling to them or helping them out. I have seen employees punished for helping customers that don’t match his exact clientele. The manager (Teddy) does not treat his employees with respect. He will make promises about paydays that never come, and you get punished for asking for your pay. I have seen him belittle their dress (while he is wearing a suit that is not fitted for him, at all) and their attire. This place will judge you if you have tattoos, look different, etc. not to mention the employees helping you are not even being paid on time for their hard work. I highly recommend Paris in the same mall for a better customer experience and if you would like to support a business that cares for their employees. They are dressed professionally (a lady sold me jewelry with glitter shoes and leggings on at Carat Lol.) this place should really be reported.
