Canyon Meadows Medical Center - Calgary

My first time here. Dr Ogo was very friendly and caring, liked here sense of humor. Also the pharmacist was very helpful. Great experience, amazing people. Definitely coming back !

This medical center has an amazing and very caring team. I phoned for a walk in consultation because of severe allergic reaction and I was accommodated very warmly by the receptionist. When I came in, I was seen right away by Dr. Ola despite the short notice. He was very thorough in the check up and even went into the very details of my condition to see to it that it does not get worse. I am highly recommending this clinic.

Disappointed with the service and the lack of care shown by the physician I visited. Don’t go here unless you can deal with long hold times (20+ minutes), and doctors who will not get back to you about diagnostics. Very unprofessional practice, and I would strongly recommend going elsewhere!

In short: Find a different clinic. My whole family was seeing a doctor at this clinic. We came here when I was pregnant to get a new family doctor. Once my daughter was born , there was concerns about her weight. After a few appointments the doctor agree to refer unto a paediatrician and said she sent in the referral while we were in the exam room. After a month passed without hearing from the paediatrician, I call canyon meadows to find out when I should expect to be seen. Turns out the doctor never actually submitted the referral. I was upset with this as the doctor told both my husband and I, while we were in the room, she had sent the referral. Mistakes happen but I after that incident, among other handling of our care, we chose to find a new family doctor. Now after being with a new doctor for about 3 month I receive a call from Canyon Meadows stating that they will be charging me around $50 to send my medical record to the new clinic (the person who call me was actually unsure of the cost but said something around $30-50). I have never been charged to have my records sent from one clinic to another before. After looking up some information is seems in Alberta they can change me a basic rate of $25 to provide my records to me. However I cannot find anything about a cost associated with sharing my records to my new clinic in Alberta. I spoke to my new clinic about this and they were also surprise to hear Canyon meadows wanted to charge me for my record. They said usually the clinic will just fax them over. Considering the poor experience we had at this clinic in regards to the care of my infant, I'm astounded they would request fee this even if it is standard policy. I would strong recommend looking for a different health care provide.

The doctor I see (Dr. Ogo) is fine, but I've had three appointments here and have always had to wait at least 45 minutes past my appointment time. Only come if you love waiting and your schedule means nothing.

Called for a walk in Yesterday afternoon (Feb.1, 2022), but the receptionist said they’re fully booked for the day and she’ll schedule me tomorrow instead at 5 pm- took all my informations and all- or so I thought- came today and the clinic was close for the day. Receptionist could’ve just told me the truth… called the office and they said I wasn’t even in the schedule. Wasted my gas and my time. Doctor’s are great though… I hope someone speak to that receptionist.

Dr. Ola will see you for about 3 minutes, don't expect a thorough checkup or enough time spent to properly diagnose your issue. He may actually be a knowledgeable doctor, but it's hard to say with such little effort put in. It's probably why you can often get an appointment right away when you call.

Dr. Ogo is kind and personable. I have seen her quite a few times and she actually takes the time to listen to my concerns and actually believe me, which is pretty much unheard of nowadays. I always feel welcome when I go into the clinic, the front staff have always been friendly with me. The pharmacist is amazing and you can tell he really enjoys his job.
