They are a an amazing organization that puts on events that families with children on the Autism Spectrum can enjoy at a low yearly fee. The events are all organized and adapted for children on the spectrum and an earlier time when the public is not present, again with the children needs in mind. The events are run rather efficiently with awesome friendly, energetic staff who come in from Vancouver, which is where the head office is located. With the staff are many volunteers who seem to have some if not large amount of experience with children on the Spectrum making events run smoothly.

The Canucks Autism Network offer a wide variety of sports based programs for individuals with Autism from the ages of 3 to 6, 7 to 12, 13 to 17 and 18+. The also offer social programs as well as sibling & family events. They provide community training to organizations that desire to be more inclusive in their community based programs and those who wish to offer employment and career opportunities. They have dedicated staff and volunteers running the programs and are genuinely committed to enriching the lives of participants. They changed my grandsons life. Thanks to the programs and staff at CAN my grandson: went back to school, got his Dogwood Diploma with a 3.33 G.P.A., became at volunteer with CAN's Hockey program, got his first job through CAN as a program assistant in hockey & multisport, wrote his first blog post about the CAN ProAm in which he played. Membership is $25 per year for an individual with Autism. In my opinion . . . The best $25 you will ever spend on your son or daughter or yourself.

This organization has been wonderful for our child and our family. The sports are so adaptive and set the kids up for success. The experiences are also very well done and inclusive.

My son has experienced two CAN programs and numerous family experiences. The volunteers are wonderful, attentive, follow the child’s lead and work to build a trusting connection. It was amazing seeing our son skate after refusing to go on the ice for 2 years.

Amazing organization and lovely people. Our son gets the opportunity to participate in programs that he normally wouldn't be able to access because typical community programs are not set up to support kids on the spectrum. We are forever grateful to everything CAN does for us and the community!
