★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I popped in without a reservation right at opening time on a Saturday night. The staff were lovely and seated us right away. The service was excellent, not to mention the wine and food. We ordered from their brand new menu. I had the salmon and my friend had the deconstructed chicken shawarma. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and delicious. I would recommend a reservation as it was getting very busy by the time we left. Highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful experience. Our first time at the Canteen but definitely not our last. We sat at the bar (by choice) . Engaged/laughed with the servers/staff--very personable Food was excellent. Atctic Char not available, but the substitute was very good. Cannot wait to go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for Saturday brunch. Service was very quick and kind. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We ordered the shrimp toast benedict and the Dutch baby pancake(Avocado substituted for sausage). Both were spectacular and bursting with purposely put together flavours. We also really loved sparkling grapefruit refresher. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in for brunch while walking 124th in the rain today. It was bustling but the hostess squeezed us in without a reservation. The menu is brief but the choices are intriguing. Crispy pork belly with runny fried eggs, creamy polenta, and roasty Brussels sprouts... BEST thing I've eaten in ages (and I always eat well)!! The breakfast sandwich was a winner, too. Flawless, friendly service was a bonus. We can't wait to come back for a supper!

We ordered Shrimp Toast Benedict, Cinnamon Waffle stix and Huevos Rancheros.
The food was delicious and flavorful. Our server was friendly and attentive.
I would totally go again to try other menu items.
