About Rge Rd
Inspired by a series of dinners to gather friends and neighbours on farms throughout Central Alberta – the dream of building a restaurant became a reality for Chef Blair Lebsack and Caitlin Fulton with the opening of RGE RD in 2013.
With a strong focus on wood fire cookery and whole animal butchery – RGE RD is where you’ll find cuisine celebrating the tastes and flavours of the prairies composed using traditional techniques handed down from generation to generation integrated with modern contemporary techniques executed with skill, passion, respect and understanding of seasonal ingredients.
Our kitchen team is led by talented, award winning chefs. Our Front of House and Culinary team is made up of kind, loyal, professional individuals who are passionate about food and hospitality. Together, we honour, celebrate and amplify our local farms and partners along with the fruits of their care and labour.
With our commitment to sourcing ingredients according to best practices and sustainability, it is no coincidence that the results are simply more delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't think its possible to have anything but an exceptional experience here. It's a special place and you can tell as soon as you walk in the door. Great service, exceptional food, it's all fresh from farms around the Edmonton area. The menue changes frequently so there is always something new to tempt you. I highly recommend if you are considering fine dinning around the Edmonton area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, absolutely atrocious sevice. We informed the server at the beginning that we would split our bill individually which she said was fine. After finishing our meal we were informed that was not possible and spent the next 20 mins doing the math for them, as apparently this was now impossible.
Normally we would just pay an equal portion (as they quite condescendingly suggested we do..) however only some of us ordered several drinks on the understanding that their modern restaurant software would be capable of a simple bill split.
Additionally our waitress was quite rude. In the end, after we sorted out the amounts, they came back with a split bill which was apparently possible all along. As much as I love the food I would never return. Good, expensive food should be commensurate with good service and this was woefully lacking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a flavourful and textural adventure with "The Road Trip" tasting menu! The sorbet palate cleanser was a welcome surprise! It was a pleasant experience throughout, everything from the simple peeled tomato salad to the ravioli that used three types of peas. I would definitely do this again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places I've been to in Edmonton. You want to see what the chef's at Rge Rd can do? Order the 'road trip' to get a six course spectacular display of open cuisine. You'll be blown away with the flavors.
The service is excellent.
I can see why this reservations at this restaurant is sought after.

Portions are decent size, and the customer service is stellar! Our drinks were always refilled and we didn't have to wait to ask for more drinks. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes in the menu

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food and amazing service. Our waitor was very helpful in understanding what they were offering that night. Celebrated a birthday there and they provided a nice card with a recipe for cookies, loved it! Had a old fashion and it was delicious, their drink specials for the night were also amazing. Just fantastic!
Will need to try the road trip one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a brilliant dining experience at Rge Rd. High quality ingredients, innovative creations and such a beautiful space (warm dining room and a lively bar side area). It's a farm to table concept and everything is so well done. The team at the restaurant were also fabulous in working with us to support my partner's dietary restrictions.
The only small comment I have is on this night I found the service to be a bit stuffy/forced - too business like. I am seeing modern dining experiences are not so formal anymore in service delivery based on our experiences of top restaurants in North America. It's usually more relaxed, conversational and, dare I say, genuine or even fun. But that may be the brand here. Nevertheless, it doesn't take away from a superb experience. It's no wonder you can rarely find a seat here on short notice.
