The customer service is very rude and unhelpful. If I could give zero stars I would. I will not be spending my money at this Canadian Tire.

Sharon in the Automotive department provided me with outstanding service. I live in Genelle and have stopped going to the Trail store for all my servicing and parts . She has always given my wife outstanding service also.

The store is OK except for the auto department. They never answer the phone or call you back and the service is abysmal in my experience. This winter (after calling many times) I booked in to get my tires changed and reserved tires & rims for the appt. I dropped off my car on the appointment day and walked around for about an hour waiting for them to call me when it was done. They didn’t call in that time so I walked back to sit in the waiting area - turns out they couldn’t find the rims and had done nothing with my car, and didn’t call me to find another solution during my appt time. They suggested I put the tires on my current rims - but I had to book another appointment for a week later because they only told me after my appointment time had ended! After finally getting winter tires on they said they would call me when the missing rims came in, and would switch my tires over for free but they never called. I tried calling the department but never got through. Last month I went in-person to inquire and Sharon said she would resolve the issue ASAP and call me, but, spoiler - she never did. Thanks for nothing Canadian Tire :) I would recommend going literally anywhere else.

1) My experience in the parts department was negative, because all they knew what to do was order parts by vehicle VIN # even though the part they came up with was the wrong one. I had to go to Lordco (very helpful) and NAPA (also good) with the numbers on the part itself to get the right one. The head man in the parts department (CT) said they can't do that! They go strictly by the VIN # and not by numbers on the part itself. 2) A day later, I wanted a set of tool that were behind glass. The person stocking shelves in the adjacent department (sports) was either unable or unwilling to help me, but they did call someone to the Tool area over the PA system. After 5 minutes of waiting no one came, so she called someone again over the PA system, and still no one came. So I walked out, drove to Lordco, and bought the set of tools from them. 3) Today, I asked an employee stocking selves where the item I was looking for could be located.... and I got a rather snarly answer. Employees are too busy stocking shelves to serve customers, and make me feel that I am imposing and interrupting their #1 priority (stocking shelves) when I ask for something. As far as understanding that without customers, they wouldn't have jobs, they are clueless. Go elsewhere if you can.

I was in Canadian tire yesterday to buy tires. Usually I receive amazing service in automotive. Yesterday was the polar opposite. The sales clerk, Quinn, was useless. I had to keep going to him for questions as he stood behind the counter. He never once asked if he could help me at all. I approached him 3or 4 times with questions. Instead I went to Integra and gave them $900. I will never deal with Canadian tire again unless Quinn is trained and receives repercussions for his ignorance. P.S. I have spent over $3000 there in the last 6 weeks.

Good deal on my tires, however the service was not the best. When I arrived for my first appointment, after driving an hour to get there, they cancelled and had to rebook for a week later. I gave them the benefit of the doubt on this one. But when they did change my tires, they knocked off all the tire sensors and then, instead of replacing them, told me I had to pay hundreds extra to do this, but they couldn’t do it that day. Needless to say , I don’t trust them to work on my vehicle again. Will pay elsewhere to get things done right without extra damage to my car.

This location had rudest employees I have ever encountered. I’ve worked in customer service my whole life and I understand it can be frustrating especially during these unprecedented times. I’m not sure if the employees I encountered when I asked to use the restroom or just when I was walking down an aisle minding my own business were upset that I wasn’t wearing a mask but they made it very evident that they did not appreciate me being there.
