Beware of product quality - have had a few things break unexpectedly while still decidedly new. However; helpful staff always willing to accomodate and guide you to what you need. Also attached to a Mark's Work Warehouse.

Go into the store to see the store manager DAKOTA again to speak to him about a product, that he needed more information on to get ordered for a price matching as a competitor has it in stock but Canadian Tire in Trail doesn’t have it in stock but it is cheaper at a local Home Hardware Store and I’d rather collect the triangle rewards as it had a 25x rewards back along with the 10x regular bonus so the rewards made it worth it even know the price Canadian Tire sells it for was only $5 more they store would get the money back and more when I used the rewards at their location. Doing a large project to get our deck stained savings is important. He tells me to make sure it’s the same item show him all that and that the store had to have it in stock and he could definitely match the price he’d have to also check that the store did infact have it in stock as that is the price matching policy. I totally understood was willing to do the work. I told him I’d get the product the sku and the numbers off the cans the manger tells me the schedule he’s working and for the third time gone in the guy has gone home early. Must be nice to be a manger that you control your own hours. Needless to say the coupon expired after today so i lost the rewards and Canadian Tire in Trail lost the sale on 18 cans of deck stain at $49.99. Guess a $900 sale isn’t that big of a deal to a corporation. Thankfully Home hardware had enough cans in stock and now I can begin my project a little sooner. But disappointed on loosing out on rewards points probably around $75 Still don’t understand why as a manger you get to leave early must be one of the perks.

The store is good but lacks supplies compared to the one in Castlegar.

You have to love this.Tried to buy a kids bike at CT and it showed 1 in stock.Went to the store twice after checking online and they said it was not available . Talked to the manager and he said it was not available and the stock must be wrong as he looked all over for it. Went home and ordered it online as it still showed 1 in stock. 2 days later got an email to pick it up at the Automotive centre. No effort on the managers part to satisfy the customer , just gave me lip service . Not impressed.

They mixed up my appointment time for putting on 4 new winter tires. Browsed the store for an hour then asked if I could sit in the waiting area. 20 minutes later I looked in the garage and my car wasn’t there. Asked the guys at the desk if it was done and they said yes, guess they just didn’t bother to let me know. The guy at the desk does FIVE MINUTES of paperwork before I can pay. Go to leave and one of the tires is flat. I tell the guy at the desk that it’s flat and he tells me TO DRIVE THE CAR ON THE FLAT TIRE TO THE GARAGE ENTRANCE… I tell him I don’t want to drive on a brand new flat tire because I don’t want to ruin it. I ask if someone can come to the parking lot and take the wheel off the car to reinstall it. I wait at my car for 10 minutes, then have to go to the garage myself and ask an employee to come to my car. All said and done, it was a 3 hour ordeal to get my tires changed. Poor customer service/communication.

The hunting section has become a little larger from what I can remember there being in the past. And for that I am happy.

This last two years has shown me that there are businesses that deserve my patronage, and a few that don't. With all the mandates and threats of a virus, there were businesses that used common sense in their safety policies, and there were a few that didn't. IMO, Canadian Tire did not use common sense during this pandemic. I will reserve my patronage to other businesses whom respected the rights of the disabled and to those whom had exemptions due to illnesses. Canadian Tire, unlike other large block chain stores, discriminated. I choose to boycott them and will advise others to do the same. Canadian Tire didn't think very wisely while implementing its policies. Our current world situation is undergoing changes, and it is brought about by multitudes of people. Canadian Tire, along with a few others might end up paying for their discriminatory policies.
