One of the best stores in Canada. Very good service. Always no problem with them. There are all the necessary things for the house. There is a good department for auto parts. Also a very good department for hunting and fishing. Visit this store and you will never forget it. Thanks)

*This review is a buyer beware warning for anyone buying any automotive, marine, or lawn batteries at Canadian Tire* On May 29th, I bought a Motormaster Lawn and Garden battery. I was charged a $20 core and was told to bring my old battery back. I will get back my $20 when I bring the old battery back to the store with the receipt. On June 9, I brought the old battery back with my invoice in hand, and went to the exchanges and returns desk. An employee at the desk looked at my old battery and told me I will not be getting my $20 back because the old battery was not a Canadian Tire battery. She told me that battery cores have to be Canadian tire brand batteries, or else they cannot take the battery to give me back my $20 they charged me when I bought their battery. Admittedly, I lost my cool, because I’ve never encountered this type of scam before with any batteries I’ve purchased in the past. I asked for the store manager to speak with them, to which she told me that the store manager was too busy to speak with me, but she would call him. After the employee spoke with the store manager over the phone, she confirmed that they could not accept the battery and I could not get my $20 back. Another customer in line heard the disagreement, and backed me up by saying that isn’t right. I also asked the employee to show me anything that says a battery core has to be a genuine Canadian tire battery for it to be accepted. She could not. After, she called her store manager again because I was refusing to leave without my $20 back. She told me after the call that they will make an exception this time, and to take the core battery to the parts desk. I spoke to a nice parts employee and told him my case, to which he looked surprised. He said that they accept any cores, regardless of the brand. He even called the store manager, who suddenly changed their mind and agreed with the parts employee. I only gave an extra star only because of this honest and reasonable parts employee. If it wasn’t for him, I would have left it at one star. Buyer beware! Do not buy Canadian Tire batteries if they will not warn you first about the old battery not being a Canadian tire battery. They will not accept the battery and give back the $20 they charged you when you buy their battery.

Received exceptional customer service from this location. When Quick Contractors failed to deliver a treadmill to me Justin, Larry & Mina (Meena) went above and beyond to rectify this. They ended up arranging to have my treadmill delivered the same day (not via Quick Contractors). I really expected to get the run around but Justin made things right. You honestly don't see customer service like this these days. I strongly caution anyone ordering online for delivery while Canadian Tire is using Quick Contractors. My experience with them was horrible. They lied to me and said they were there to pick up the delivery but that CT couldn't find it. This was not true and they actually never even showed up to collect it. The reviews on them are sadly true. I would happily pay more for delivery to make sure it was actually done.

I was in there for over an hour looking for Is Allen wrench 3/8 drive For my brake calipers I had one caliper bolt with me and I wanted to see if it fit and and there were not helpful. Would not go there . horrible customer service

Very good location and large selections of items. I was able to purchase maintenance lubes for my ebike here and the price is fair considering that it was hard to find and I got it here by chance.

Covid city ... All about money to this owner. Went to by a new battery and sorry I went. This store was shut down last summer for 2 weeks for braking Covid rules and maybe should be again. The way they have set up the store for Christmas shopping is ridiculous. Cant walk from automotive to customer service desk with out walking past people waiting for a till while the self serve tills are empty. This owner is hoping we all do our own check out. The front of the store has so much shelving its impossible to get around, 12 people waiting for 3 tills.( I think 4 have been removed.) 12 people waiting for help at the service desk with one girl working. parking lot has several shipping containers in the center of the lot taking up all the parking. Its all about money to this owner. Only time I will come back is to drop off my used oil for recycle.

While I was getting my car repaired I was able to do some office work at Staples next door. Then go for lunch at restaurant also next door. This Canadian Tire is in a great location. We arrived at repair shop at about 11 am. Lorne, the service manager, heard that we were out of town, on a vacation and that if the repair took a long time that we would have to rent a car. Lorne walked into the repair area to talk to a technician. Right away a technician drove our car into the shop. The brakes had to be replaced. As quoted, two hours later the repair was completed. I went to Lorne’s office to thank him, saying that I noticed how professionally he handled the repair so that we could get back to enjoying our vacation. Thank you Lorne and Gerard, the service advisor.

Great experience at customer service. She was knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly. I would recommend this place for returns and exchanges. As far as shopping goes, maybe it’s seasonal items changing time, there were LOTS of empty isles. Not many selection. Pros: They have an as-is, and clearance section which is fantastic if you can find the item on your shopping list. Would definitely recommend.
