The people here were GREAT and the fact that I can walk through a hall all of the way from my hotel room to a hockey game is also great. I love that there's a water park and I love that they offer hockey themed rooms for if you're celebrating someone's special birthday. BUT the lobby and pool could use refurbishing and refreshing, the beds are old enough to border on being quite uncomfortable (although this may only be in the theme rooms), the air conditioner/heater is terribly loud and the number of outlets in the room that are available to use to charge your electronic devices are badly in need of expansion and modernization. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this CanadInns again, but I'll have to temper my comfort expectations. And, again, everyone who works there is absolutely lovely. Five stars for them.

The slide and one hot tub weren't operating again. There was an ice bucket left dirty with black mold spores growing in the liquid at the bottom. There was no bedding in the room for the sofabed although they did bring it when we asked. No room service either so I'm not sure how they justify their price. They did give us a large rebate on the room, which is why I am not rating it 1 star, everyone makes mistakes.

I understand that there are renovated rooms. I’m only rating our experience. We stayed in a theme room on winter fair weekend. It’s cool that there are 4 bunk beds and our daughter was pretty excited to have her own painted room in a princess/nature theme. Everything was pretty dated in the room but it was still generally clean. There was a ps5 in the room too which was a nice surprise. We borrowed games and controllers from the front desk. The front desk was always pretty attentive! The pool and water slide were very clean and very fun. They were pretty good about an early checkin too. So why only three stars? 1-the rooms were dated. And the entire hallway (2nd floor) was not in great shape considering the price. Seemed like the carpet was coming up and had shifted underneath quite a bit. Not actually an issue but doesn’t give good vibes 2-price for the theme room was pretty steep. It really was the same size as a regular room 3-the pool temperature was kept quite cold which made it hard to have the typical lengthy hotel pool session.

Was a little disappointed with our last stay. Found previous guest's articles in our room, fans not working, light bulbs needing replacing etc. All fixable items that just do not show care in the building. Our kids also found the pool to be on the cold side, which was one of the main attractions to this hotel. Guest services didn't seem to care when it was mentioned to them.

First, we’re told the day of our first night of staying that the slide is broken. After looking at reviews, that seems to be a theme for this place - why else do you think I booked an overpriced room at your hotel? FOR. THE. SLIDE. You’re a hotel advertising a big waterside - pay to get it fixed ASAP. At least if we booked at one of the other hotels with a pool we’d know what we were getting for the price. It was too late to book somewhere else. Second, there were other problems with the pool area - a hot tub was also broken and something was broken for the ventilation (?) so they had a fan on the floor on the pool deck PLUGGED IN RIGHT NEXT TO THE POOL. Sure there were caution signs, but seriously?! When my FIL asked a staff member about it he was given attitude and told they would have to β€œshut down the whole pool”. Who wants to be the guest that shuts down the pool and ruin it for the other guests?! No one - especially when it’s one of the most expensive hotels already to stay at. Also, they request you shower before you go into the pool but you’ll have to do that in your room because there’s nowhere to do it poolside. Third - we were looking for things in the area to do. There is no info book in your room, and the front desk staff are useless as well. Nothing to suggest to us, no local pamphlets or anything. I understand we could look online, but it’s a basic service they could offer - everywhere else does. Plus, when asked a basic question about being able to access the hotel from the door near the tavern with our keycard we were told no. So if you park on the side closer to the tavern you can’t get in. I’m confused, you’ll let random people not staying at the hotel enter the front door to use the tavern, but if I’m stuck parking on that side I have to walk ally the way around to your front door as a paying guest? Fourth - hotel room was barely cleaned. They made the beds (which I had pretty much already done), left some new glasses. Honestly, we got a bit of a discount that had NOTHING to do with the hotel (benefit of our union membership) and I STILL wouldn’t book here again. Snotty staff, the breakfast buffet sucked and the pool and/or slide seem to always be out of order. Canad Inns - this hotel is an embarrassment to your name and you’ve certainly lost a customer from any of your other locations.

The hospitality isn't that great.. but the rooms are average Canad Inns rooms. The in-house restaurants & bars always seem to close early (at 9pm) or have weird hours, which sucks if you want to have a few drinks or something after an event... huge plus that its attached to the Westoba Place tho. Good crawling distance back to your room if you needed...

Stayed there for work, they are one of the more expensive hotels in Brandon and yet one of the only ones that do not include breakfast. The restaurants are closed Sunday and Monday so no food is available nor do they have basic necessities like feminine hygiene products or small bottles of Tylenol at the front, they don't even have snacks to sell. Vehicle broke down and needed an extra night, they required I check out of my room and rebook a new room and wait until it was available that afternoon instead of just moving the new guest to a new room before they even got there.

Staff are fantastic, rooms need some serious upgrading. Bathroom was clean but walls damaged in sleeping areas, carpet was disgusting and the bedding for the bunk beds was just old hotel bedding sewn into mini sleeping bag type things. Won't fit anyone over 10 years old for sure. Bunk rooms get really hot. Heater banged and clicked all night (notified front desk and was told they would "make a note of it"). Pool was great when it wasn't busy. Hot tub was out of service and restaurant has very limited hours, takeout only. Hotel wasn't busy at all but there were a ton of rooms occupied on our floor. With covid I was hopeful they would spread us all out but that was not the case so it was noisy. I really wish we had a nicer room because the staff was so good, but we won't stay here again unfortunately.
