I have never used movers before and had some confusion in the beginning. Charles rescheduled with me with no issue, and was extremely accommodating. Tobby and John called prior to arriving in the scheduled time. They were very careful with my things and communicated throughout to ensure everything was smooth, and as I needed. The facilitator of the new building I moved into even said she LOVES it when she sees movers being so careful. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommend Calgary Pro Movers.

Rude, Condescending behaviour!!! Details below: We had requested a quote from this company, received it and I called them up. Spoke to Charles who was driving while he took the call and seemed very distracted. I asked him about the packing services and he mentioned its included in the service. I got confused so called him up again, similar situation he takes the call while driving and distracted. I asked him that is the packing services included and how much for the boxes. His response, packing services are at hourly rate which is fine and then he goes on and talk down on me saying 'nothing is free, this is Canada, are you new here' his tone was so disrespectful, condescending and discriminatory based on my ethnic name. I'll definitely not be using this company and would not recommend them. Learn to talk to your customers and don't disrespect them also don't take the call while driving if you can't answer their questions properly. Not sure if Charles is the owner of the company, but if he is not hope the management takes note and give him some training on how to talk to customers without talking down on them!!! Disgusting behaviour towards a potential paying customer, even if someone is a new immigrant to the country this is no way to talk to them.

We have used Calgary Pro Movers 3 times, and every move has been a success. The Owner is easy to deal with and is understanding, even when let’s say an additional truck is needed on short notice. The men themselves that come out are very capable, and make they sure your belongings are safe and loaded efficiently. These gents have disassembled and reassembled beds etc, and they pay attention to detail. Some additional information on the guys we’ve dealt with, they are professional and yet very approachable. We have a great deal of respect for these guys, they work very hard and yet continue to have a sense of humor as they work. We consider these guys family and wouldn’t hesitate to call Calgary Pro Movers in the future. Great job guys!

The 3 movers were really helpful and friendly and worked very hard. The heavier furniture was wrapped and arrived without scratch and damage. I would definitely recommend Calgary Pro Movers to anyone who need professional movers.

I do have to say the movers, Perry and Toby (if I remember correctly) plus another two fellows that came to help were great! As far as the company, we hired 3 movers originally. On the day of only 2 came. We did specify that we had a 5 bedroom home. The movers ended up calling the company and asking for more movers. Honestly, it would have nice to have been informed by the company that only two movers were only available. 3.5 hours into our move another mover came then after after 30 mins a fourth person came. We fed the movers and it ended up being an 11 hour day for them. They definitely deserve the credit here! We did refer my sister in law and got a 5% credit.

Two months ago, I hired this company to move from Red Deer to Calgary and paid over $5000 for packaging and moving. The packagers came a day before the moving date and packed everything. With a few weeks old infant, I was not able to monitor how they were doing their job, but assumed they would do it correct due to their positive reviews. They claimed to be the top movers in Calgary. To my disappointment, there were several furnitures(all very expensive ones) that had some minor damages which I could ignore but there were few items which were badly damaged. I noticed one on the moving day and brought that to the notice, they said they will take that piece to have it repaired. I only held $1000 for the item. The cost of that dining cabinet is $4000 even today. The server would cost around $2200 which got damaged and I have the Hutch but I can't really use it without the server so I am in loss of $4000 now. The packers packed them upside down which damaged the carved part.They also damaged my Console table leg( the packers didn't remove the legs before packing), it's suppose to be sturdy since it's made of real hard wood. The console is over $2000 and when I brought this to the notice to Charles the owner, he said he needs to take that console too to get it repaired. Since he already had my one item with him for $1000 held back for a damage which costed me $4000, I thought I should try and get some carpenter to fix that for me. Everyone knows how sensitive the grandfather clock is to moving and if anyone does not know how to move them, they should tell us that in advance but my grandfather clock is stuck and I need to spend over $500 to fix it. There were several issues with the packaging, they didn't understand that the items could be rare or expensive. The heavy crystal fruit basket was packed with wince glasses, of course all my wince glasses broke along with other cutleries. They broke my daughter's bed headboard too. My Onyx vas(approx. $500) head was chipped too as it was on my entrance, they packed it with shoes in the closet without even wrapping it. Now the problem is that Charles does not respond to my phone calls or emails and is holding on to my cabinet. If you have some expensive items, they are not the people you should go to. Not recommended. I would give them no stars if I could.

Movers were great! Management was frustrating to deal with. I will not go with this company again. . . . I recently moved, and contacted this company. First off, the movers that were here were good. They worked hard. They did their jobs. They were both friendly and helpful. Now, onto why I’ve given a poor review. My requirements, as a little person, is a company that will be able to pack, move, disassemble/reassemble furniture, and take garbage to the dump. I called and made sure to confirm everything. I asked for 2 movers ($130/hr) at first, but then after some consideration, called back and asked for 3 movers ($170/hr). The manager confirmed. On the day of the move, only 2 movers showed up. A 6 hour (max) job ended up taking 9+ hours. When I contacted the manager, he insisted that it would’ve only made a 30 min difference with a 3rd person. Only after significant disagreement, did they take 2 hours off of the time, but added an hour for travel, when they were not initially going to include it. In these kinds of situations, where the movers have your address and know where you live, there’s only so much negotiation one can do, without fear of repercussions. The overall management and how they very likely didn’t even book that 3rd mover shows how corrupt and deceptive they are. Little people, and people with disabilities in general rely on and pay for these kinds of services, because we have very little recourse. It is always frustrating when we are being taken advantage of by dishonest and sleazy business owners and managers. I will not use this moving company again.
