t	tiki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zahra, the midwife, very unprofessional cut us off in our very first in person visit saying she did not have enough staff to support and could not care for us. Worst part was that she did not provide any help or resources in order to help us transfer to another care provider. This was also so close to my 20 week scan and Xmas holidays that it made things more difficult. Furthermore, right around this time I had some thyroid issues that needed additional consultation. Zahra did her minimum effort by merely calling me and telling me the result was off after a day of getting the results- she just left a voice mail, no other follow up. As they say, things happen for the best. I ended moving to Inlet Community birth and have had nothing but positive experience so far. It's a larger team, they return all my calls on time, have a caring and patient attitude. By the time Zahra from Burnaby midwifery called me regarding the Thyroid results, Inlet had emailed lifelabs a requisition directly for follow up blood tests - I wasn't even officially a client with them yet. Absolutely do not recommend burnaby midwifery. There are better options out there.

She helped my wife stay calm during the delivery and was on call to help with any concerns we had following the birth of our baby girl. Thank you Zahra!!

Being a mom for the first time is extremely overwhelming, and I remember myself overreacting about everything related to the pregnancy. I was pleased with the care I received the first time, so much so that this time I didn't hesitate to contact them again. For my second pregnancy i had a schedule c section. So i was really happy to know i was able to be under the midwife care even through it wasn't going to be a natural birth. Thank you Zahra for a wonderful experience with both my babies.

They were so informative and supportive throughout my entire pregnancy, giving me great information and always letting every decision be my choice on how I wanted the delivery process to go. Zahra delivered my baby in the hospital and it put me at ease to have her with me along the way. Their visits to my home after delivery were so helpful and I highly recommend their services! I didn’t know anything about the midwife process before becoming pregnant and am so glad I found them.

When I found out my sister was pregnant too I immediately connected her to Burnaby Midwifery and if you’re looking for someone professional and caring this is the best place. Zahra made sure my son latched properly during breastfeeding and her advice was invaluable! My son is almost 6 months old and I’m so lucky she took such great care of us!

This was my first pregnancy and my partner and I had many questions. Zahra and her team were always quick to respond and offer suggestions on any treatment and management that I may have needed. Zahra was present during my hospital birth, and she was patient and supportive throughout the whole process. She was attentive to my needs and coached me through a long labour. During the postpartum period at home, the home visits were extremely helpful and made me feel well supported. I am very grateful to Zahra and her team for the kind and compassionate care throughout my pregnancy and postpartum period. I would highly recommend her if you are considering having a midwife!

Midwives treat you as a pregnant person, and no someone with an illness. I had a wonderful experience with Burnaby Midwifery specifically. I had planned for home birth (and was supported) but my baby was breech and I had to have a c section. They knew my birth intentions and I completely trusted them throughout my experience. I would recommend these beautiful and knowledgeable women to any new birthing person.
