★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highs: nice location on a bay, some nice trails with some trail markers, and some old farm buildings?
Lows: confusing network of trails, many closed to all but hikers, out of commission boat launch, houses scattered around the park, seemingly no maintenance to the trails, people living on boats and (float homes?!) in the bay and on the beach, even some old dude harvesting wood off the beach the day we were there - seriously - in a provincial park!
This place needs a makeover. BC parks should be ashamed of this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ long ex-railroad track walk to the north end of the bay is mostly flat and an easy walk.. sandy beach is a different direction not marked but also a gentle trail with a big reward at the end. . great for sunsets and moon watching.. prettier when tide is high, lots of gathering spots, couple totem poles, sheltered with a view of V.I. and floating homes

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bay is quite out of the way but beautiful. Access to the various trails and beach were not well marked. The road is poorly maintained and there were a lot of abandoned cars there. I would come back more prepared for a hike next time. The view of Mount Maxwell from there was kinda neat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dafodill Point trail .. okay I’m not 21 anymore … the trail / gravel track runs under Mt Maxwell and is in great gravel condition. BUT, be advised there are some moderate grades that were ‘puffers’. Lovely through the woods to the Garry Oak meadow at the point. Worth the walk/hike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hidden gem on Salt Spring Island, BC. It is a wonderful mix if beach and ocean frontage, well formed trails and the old farm itself with its barn and outbuildings. Well worth a lazy visit, it's not a place to do in a rush. Pick the time to walk the foreshore on the low tide then cut inland to walk the trails.
