★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highest point on Salt Spring. Almost 360 views of vancouver island and salt spring. Roads up are a bit rocky and steep and will need a 4x4 or all wheel drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy hike using Armand trail. Very nice vistas at the top. The first vista when using the trail is top notch. It is not so crowded comparing with the top which can be accessed by car too. There are enough parking spaces for maybe 10 cars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth the effort! Gorgeous once there and the rain forest is beautiful as well. Very rough road. Rode our adv. moto up ,only trucks up there. Lots of hikers doing it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rough road to reach the top, not advisable for cars or low vehicles but any truck or SUV/CUV will be fine. Amazing views from the top, several benches for enjoying the view and some picnic tables around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The mount Maxwell lookout has an amazing view but be extra careful on the way up. Vehicles equipped with 4x4 engines are preferred. Don’t go if the weather is challenging.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My civic went up. Would not go when nearing dark times or rainy/ snowy weather though. Well worth it though. Best view I've seen. Comparable to the hikes I've been on, but still like this more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best hike ever - requires a 4x4 to get up but there are multiple trails with different difficulties. Beautiful view.
