Another exhaust shop in town wanted to charge me $650 dollars for a job that wasn't necessary. These guys fixed the problem and for much much much less. Thanks you! Will use again.
M	Muneeb on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here twice now and both times got professional advice and fixing on my old Honda Pilot. Doug was very friendly and conversed with me all the time while the technicians figured out what was wrong with the car. Doug then explained to me what were the things that compromised safety vs things that may just cause a noise but still be safe to drive with (small part that wasn’t available anywhere in Kamloops). I was also let in the garage to see the damage on my brakes and see what was actually wrong with them and what needs replacing - helped me put a picture to his explaining. He then gave me a ride home too (w/ safety precautions in place) which saved me time. The work was done within the day and car is braking much better now I definitely appreciate getting new items rather than used ones knowing that it will cost me but there’s warranty and longer life on them. The parking area is a bit small especially when they’re busy so it helps to book an appointment via phone beforehand. I usually get my work done in mornings. Will definitely come back if something else comes up (hopefully not ???)

P	P A Leunac on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its been a long time since I received truly exceptional customer service from anywhere...and today I did at Budget Brake & Muffler in Kamloops! I’m new to Kamloops and I arrived today with a very sick Toyota 4 runner that had suffered from years of constant exposure to a lot of salt air and rarely driven on Vancouver Island. I was greeted by Doug the owner, who treated me like family. He went through everything my truck needed in detail but easy for a non mechanic like me to understand. I felt at ease and felt no pressure whatsoever. I was prepared to wait for hours in the lobby but he very kindly drove me home and offered to come and pick me up when my truck was fixed. He is such a kind and funny man who knows the right way to treat his customers. Plus he loves dogs, so thats even better haha! My truck is now running beautifully and I look forward to recommending Budget Brake & Muffler to my family & friends...and stopping by in the future for anything my truck needs. He put a temporary fix on it that could last “a week, two weeks to two years” before slapping me with a $400 bill, which I appreciated very much! Thanks Doug and budget team!

If anyone asks us for a reputable mechanic for years we’ve sent them to Doug. We’ve had so many positive experiences with the guys at Budget Kamloops; too many to list quite honestly. Not a single complaint.
