Long time customer but will not go again . Waitress very rude. Politely asked if we could change seating over to the booth side but was told it was reserved. I said ok next time should I call to reserve but was told only available for certain customers. I asked what do you mean? Do I have to be a VIP and she said yes and started to angrily lecture me. I said you must be having a bad day and she said yes I am. I just walked out. If you are having a bad day please donโ€™t take it out on your customers.

Glad to have this HK cafe on Kingsway. They are busy for a reason! Good prices and HK diner food. Pork chop rice was not your typical tomato take. It was kind of a curried Macau style!

Hidden gem alert! One of the best Hong Kong style cafรฉ and very reasonable prices. Iโ€™ve been a more than 5 times, and Iโ€™m pretty impressed each time with the portions and authentic flavours. Finally got around to writing a review. Service is kind of meh, and their English isnโ€™t great but that shouldnโ€™t stop you from coming! I usually get take out anyways. I think it is cash & debit ONLY. My order: Satay Flat Noodle with Pork Neck $12.95 โ€“ I swapped out the flat noodle with regular chow mein noodles for that extra crunch. Very nice satay flavour, and there are some large slices of fatty pork neck. Comes with some onions and green peppers too. Sauce to noodle ratio was also good. Baked Portuguese Rice (Chicken) $11.50 โ€“ I always order this. You can get pork instead if you'd like. This is a coconut curry rice dish that is baked (so it does take a bit longer to make) with shredded coconut on top for some added flavour/texture. Itโ€™s a good creaminess and comes with a good portion of sliced chicken steak. Rice to sauce ratio is also perfect. HK Style Milk Tea & Yuen Yeung (HK Milk Tea & Coffee): FREE with the dishes. Super strong and authentic flavours. 2 dishes and 2 drinks came to $25.67 after tax.

I ordered four dishes through the Uber Eats, the food portion is very good but the price is a little higher than the regular menu because of Uber, also I got a discount by using the apps so itโ€™s okay, nothing to lose. The satay toro is tasty and the prawns they give are more than I expected, the scallops fried rice is delicious, not too oily, the beef brisket is not spicy enough, overall itโ€™s so so according to the quality and quantity. I will order again if they still have the discount otherwiseโ€ฆโ€ฆ

Best Hong Kong Cafe/Cha Chaan Teng in Vancouver hands down. I've been coming to BT for over 14 years since they opened and replaced Sun Fat Cafe (which was also a fantastic HK mom and pop cafe) in 2008. Since day 1, their consistency with the quality of food and service has never dipped down. Their prices are extremely fair, as are their portions. The place is also incredibly sanitary, which is a bonus as normally HK cafes aren't usually known for this. Some must tries here are their baked spaghetti with meat sauce, satay pork Toro with hor fun, or their mix and match steak set. Get the borscht if its the daily soup, it's the best in town.

For the price and portion of food in these times of high inflation, this HK restaurant is pretty well priced and portions are good. Have been ordering takeout from here for awhile now and the food standard/quality has been decent. Sometimes the flavouring may be a bit too light or not enough sauce but can't complain for the price you pay for the meal. For example: My Baked Pork Chop with Noodles was not very sauce-y so half way through my meal the noodles got a bit dry. The pork patty are ones you get from the grocery store (boneless) but the overall dish was still decent. Scrambled Egg Prawn with Rice Noodle smelt great and a very nice portion for less than $15. The dish lacked a bit of flavour but adding some white pepper enhances the overall taste. The shrimp was seasoned well. I have tried other dishes like the Baked Curry Chicken on Rice (no picture) which is my favourite thus far. There are some peppers, onions, potatoes and the chicken is not the frozen kind. Curry flavour was great and aromatic.

Seriously underrated! It's 1 of the 4 restaurants that left an impression on me after visiting Vancouver recently. We ordered 4 different items and I found all of them to be good and I didn't even have an appetite to eat beforehand. Very reasonable price and kind hearted staffs.
