However, I trusted them with my $180 designer comforter that is not even made anymore- and therefore irreplaceable. It was returned in horrendous shape. Not even an apology from the employee who delivered it (Richard). I'm very upset and will never be using this service again. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And also, I have had this comforter dry cleaned 3 times prior to this wash and have never had any issues. People spend good money to have their valuables taken care of and as a cleaning company you should know how to adequately care for such items.

Despite the very high price quote, we agreed to all the little 'upgrades' the employee sold us on for better cleaning. One $60 'diamond' service for one of the dresses was rejected by us due to cost. We were warned that the dress in question might not come back clean and might be flattened for some reason. It was, in fact, returned clean and not flattened. I'm not sure what the $60 would have bought us if we had paid it. The other dresses came back with the stains still visible and my shirt, included with my suit, was 'missing'. Better off taking my dry cleaning somewhere else next time. The only positive was that my suit and one of my wife's dresses came back clean.

I got the two feather duvets back with an explanation that the alpaca duvet had been damaged beyond use and I would be compensated. I thought I’d be in a real fight to get anything close to the value of the duvet ($800) as compensation. However, within 2 days of submitting the receipt for the duvet, they called and offered me the maximum outlined in the fair compensation guide for fabrics, an honest explanation of what happened and a sincere apology. Excellent customer service - will definitely continue to go to Browns.
