K	Kieran Murphy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cabin/cottage. Trains run right next to property throughout the night though. Was not and vibrated a lot. Owner is very friendly and approachable. Handy to Shell gas station and trans-Canadian highway.

I will never recommend your place until you apologize and learn how to treat people better. What disgusting behavior, and very unfriendly service upon arrival.

C	Colin and Kim Angus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, clean cabin and grounds and friendly proprietors. Only reason I didn't give a 5 ? rating is because of the trains. We were so tired anyway they didn't bother us too much. A perfect spot to use as a home base while checking out the amazing sites in the area. One other note, we came from Calgary, arrived at dusk westbound on 11 St and couldn't see the signs as they both face north/south. So if you're coming from that direction, at the T intersection the cabins are straight ahead.

The cabin we had was perfect - bedroom separate from living area, full sized fridge and stove, lovely little deck with chairs, table and umbrella. The brook that runs through the property is a very pretty added feature! We will definitely stop here again.
K	Katelyn Goreski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I have been staying here every year for 6 years now. I feel so bad that I can't remember the owner's name - BUT this place is amazing. So clean and comfortable. We have a 6 month old and a 7 year old now and it was perfect for them as well! Great that they have BBQs outside - its not very often you get to stay somewhere and have that luxury to cook a good meal for your family and have all the tools and dishes provided. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. Our 7 year old commented about how she felt "at home" and had a great time picking wildflowers nearby for our kitchen table centerpiece. Also, there is a great amount of privacy. You won't hear neighbors - the sounds you hear are the creek out back and the odd train (relaxing for myself). The owner is extremely accodomating and friendly (can't stress this point enough). Brookside Motel cannot be given a second thought - when you're staying in Golden you HAVE to stay here.
A	Anand Philar on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location if you ignore a railway line that is barely 50 meters behind the cabins. There is regular rail traffic, but the noise is not a bother. The motel is easily accessible from the highway, less than 1 km from the turn off. The towering, snow-capped mountains provide a superb backdrop. The cabin (No.6) is quite cozy and comfortable, with two bedrooms, one washroom and a kitchenette. The check-in process was quick and efficient. Brookside was the cheapest (CAD 180+Tax) accommodation we (2 couples and two kids - 18+) could get online at the very last minute. Overall, enjoyable stay for 2 nights.
