K	Kyle Weir on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While I generally like the place the policies are a bit much. I took my 12 year old along with my 11 and 5 year old. Covid vaccine passes are no longer a thing but for some reason they require anyone over the age of 12 to have a valid identification even tho I the parent was present. This ultimately led to us having to leave because my oldest lives with his mom from out of town and I don't have a valid ID for him. In a world trying to get rid of restrictions it's unbelievable to see an establishment look and implement more restrictions. A child wanted to swim and the YMCA turned us away only because a 12 year old didn't have identification. Sad and I can't see us supporting that kind of ideology. Go somewhere else where they want your money but also don't restrict children from just simply having fun. If this is your policy YMCA then the problem is definitely a you thing and easily fixable. Hope future families dont go through the same disappointment you caused my children today.
J	Jose J on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good YMCA, with child minding services, pool, arena, library, gym area and a theatre. Facility is clean. My only complaint is that there is a paid parking area so be aware and choose the back side parking which is free. Parking fills up quick in peak hours.
R	Rena Vaudry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The nicest gym & pool in Calgary! The pool is enormous; & has excellent features for children and adults. The slides are hard to get bored of & they even have a surf thing. I'd recommend this over any other gym in the area primarily for the spaciousness but it's also clean; the staff are friendly & the building is beautiful. & parking isn't too bad even at the busiest times!
S	Sean Walters on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe the largest dressing rooms in Calgary. But the ice surf is closest to the pool is definitely maybe one of the worst. I don't know if it's the programs that are on that ice sheet or the lack of time for the ice to harden between programs but it's one of the wettest and roughest surfaces in Calgary. Water bottle fill up locations on the way to the bench filter the water to taste great. Also great that you don't have to skate across the ice together the benches.
J	Jaxon. L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Swimming was great, the locks are 10.00 which I think it unbelievably high. Should be cheaper. Locker room thief that stole my boots. Had to get someone to come pick me up. Some guy also kept attempting to unlock the showers in the change rooms. Stupid that they can't check CCTV without the cops. Lines were also very long at front desk. Would definitely recommend coming here BUT on a less popular day. Call ahead or something.
A	Adrian Thibault on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place. Have been a few times with my kids and my toddler loves the water park and pools. The library is really good also. If we were to utilize it more we would definitely get a family membership. Highly recommend.

L	Lord Griff on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Calgary had the world's largest YMCA in the North west, but it was not enough, so they proceeded, barely a year later, to beat that record with this YMCA. This definitely holds the record for the world, at the moment. It is large, spacious, clean, and has amenities available right now which include the fitness area, gym, library, art studios, theatre, daycare, multipurpose/community rooms and two arenas. You got swimming pools, upon swimming, upon swimming pools. A YMCA theatre and two multipurpose rinks for skating....imagine skating in the heat of the summer in an indoor rink? Wowza. Also, diving springboards and platforms, a spectator viewing area, and a water park, including a children’s pool, play structure, lazy river and two waterslides. If you live in the South East, it's definitely a must.
