But there always seems to be something going wrong at that pool !!!
Last week it was time arrived for aquafit and the fire alarm was ringing ..
Everyone was outside so class cancelled..
Week before class was cancelled because someone broke glass in the pool ??
Why is there any glass anything allowed in the pool !!!
Cancelled again ...
I'm going back to Okotoks pool ..went for years never a glitch ..EVER!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great facility, mostly great staff. But its very unfortunate how High River’s massive basketball community is disregarded. I have no exact number but I would estimate that over 250 people in High River use the rec centre for basketball.
A large number of those people are kids in middle and high school. If the Rec centre cared at all about the youth of this community they would prioritize it over sports like volleyball, tennis, badminton. It is very clear that not even 20 people routinely drop in to play those sports combined.
The only other sport that has numbers as high if not higher then basketball is pickle ball. As someone who has been using this facility for over 6 years it’s very clear that pickle ball players get 100% favouritism in the building, which I have been told is because “they are the biggest community of players”. Then why is tennis, badminton and volleyball heavily prioritized.
Here’s why. Because the basketball community is 70-80% Filipino. And a huge percent of those people don’t speak English and have no way to express their frustration to management.
That’s only my evaluation, it may be true, it might not be, but the point is that this facility shows zero appreciation and love to the youth that love basketball.
