★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend, who is Indigenous, went to this branch to cash a cheque she received from a work sponsor. The teller was extremely rude & refused to call the bank to make sure the money would show up in her account by Friday (reference: it’s Tuesday, three business days is the norm for cheques like this). Word for word, she said “I’m not going to do that for you.”
This is not the first time she’s brought sponsor cheques to BMO, but this is her first time at this location. Ashe has not previously had a problem when asking the teller to call the bank right there to let her know when they would be cashed in. This particular teller was not helpful, rude, & did not work with her to find a solution for a simple question. Whether she was having a bad day or she was being racist towards her, my partner did NOT deserve to be treated like this.
It should also be noted that my gf’s elderly mother does not go to this branch anymore because she’s been treated badly by staff there as well. At this point, it should be known that this BMO branch is not a safe nor comfortable place for Indigenous women. Shame on you, do better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude customer service and know nothing representative. We have a business account here ( which is a big mistake) and need to open an US dollar account. The representative told us we can use our regular CAD account to receive the US dollars but did not tell us the bank will convert the USD to CAD by default. And when we drop by the branch, was told we need to provide a new registration to open a USD account. Was really shocked to hear this as registration is a legal document and never expires but the representative insistently use such excuse to shame me away. Tried an other branch and opened within half an hour. Will never be here again.
