I highly recommend you look elsewhere. Fire alarms going off all the time and noisy elevators. You can hear one of them go up and down all night long. Actually wakes me up around 4 AM everyday.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!! I spent the last year in this apartment and I have to say this is the worst property management I have ever experiences. This place is terrible and only survives on their location. There are way better places for your hard earned money. Awful Customer Service This is an older apartment building so the AC unit is an antique. Several times during the summer it breaks down and although we submit service requests to have it fixed, more than a month can go by before someone responds. You have to be constantly following up with them as if you are not paying rent! Elevators Out of Service Living here for a year I can tell you that the elevators are constantly out of service. This property manager is so cheap they would not even upgrade these knowing the frequency with which they break down. Earlier this year a guy was actually stuck in the elevator for hours! You can search the article as it made the news. Every other day one of the 3 elevators is our of service. Emergency Exits Based on the construction of this building, you have to walk very far should you need to exit in case of emergency. The stairwell only goes down to the 14th floor above where the Mariott Hotel was, then you have to walk this long sketchy halway to cross over buildings and continue down ward to exit at the back of the building on Asquith rd. The entire journey from the 14th floor downward is super sketchy, poorly lit and feels very unsafe when trying to get out of the building Poor Security We have had many cases where homeless people from in the PATH come up into the hallways leading to the entrance of the building. Many homeless people also sleep at the entrance on Bloor to the point where if you don't see them you Weill smell them. An awful stench often lingers around this building's entrances. We have also had issues were persons were being threatened in the hallway outside of their units and although you report this to management, they always brush it off and do what they do best.. NOTHING. This is not a safe place for your family. Now worth the Price Prior to covid, the price of these units could be somewhat justified solely based on location. It is an older building so you typically got more room for your dollar but a dated unit. Due to the impact of covid on rentals in the city, this place is WAY OVERPRICED. They somehow believe they do not have to lower their rent , based on what I see on their website. Based on market value for actual condos with ensuite laundry etc, a 1 bedroom at this place should not be more than $1200. When you combine the despicable management and terrible up keep of the place, it should really be $1000. Conclusion DO NOT RENT HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's NOT SAFE to live here!!!. Staff tells tenants that the building management took the furniture away because people didn't sit in the chairs. Elevator keeps me up at night. Management refuses to deal with the issue. I have noticed a lot of homeless people like to sleep in our front entrance way and one even took a dump. This place has really gone down hill.

If you want constant drilling and jack hammering day in and day out for over 9 month then rent here! Noise from the hotel renovation has been going on for over a year. Can’t sleep, can’t work, pets are in shock daily from the jack hammering. It’s horrible, they don’t even notify you about the extreme excessive noise that will shake your apartment for months on end. This is the perfect location, but if you want an easy life don’t rent here! Today the hotel flooded the lobby of the building and even closed the Subway station! You have to walk up 30 floors to get to your apartment. Management is nowhere to be found!!! Horrible rental group Maple Leaf Property Management! Horrible!!!

These are a great value apartments above the Marriot hotel. Built in an age of larger scale these medium priced apartments are spacious. Elevator to parking and the concourse to theTTC. A walk to Yorkville, two library’s . Three Tim Hortons two 24 hours. This place has location. Location . Location. Park drive out the back is like my private drive connecting to the DVP via Rosedale Valley Road . A little old the management keeps doing updates .

You must rent here. Best building in the downtown area. We have lived in this building for more than 20 years and it is a great place to live. The building manager Lina is always available and provides excellent timely assistance whenever required and the building is well maintained and cleaned daily. The location is also excellent being connected to so much via the underground shopping malls, TTC subway, etc. We would recommend this building to anyone interested in a central downtown location.

After 25 years at 88 Bloor st east residence, I am still feeling very blessed to call this my home!!( believe me!!,the grass is NOT! greener elsewhere!). Perks about residence: -management on site ( and always extremely helpful, professional, and a great team who work together!) -lobbies maintained daily, as well as mail room close to elevator. -laundry room is always empty, and cleaned!(at night locked, as well as security monitored) -Residence very respectful, and well behaved… So it’s clear management is doing the proper job in screening new residence. LOVE!.. Direct access to mall and subway! (no-frills across the street) - apartment are concrete, so noisy neighbours or street level is reduced. -windows cleaned, air conditioning units cleaned and maintained, garbage room maintain daily on each floor..( let’s be serious!.. I have it good!) -apartment has FANTASTIC closet space! ( I can fit a mattress in!).. not found in newer built apartment rentals. With the new W hotel opening soon in same building.. this will be a prestigious location to live. Toronto is my City .. and 88 Bloor street east is my home ?
