N	Nickey A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seriously do not live here! Moved here Nov 2019 thinking it was an upgrade. High ceilings, great light, nice view, big floor plans, reasonable rent and great location. What you actually get is literally the oldest highrise in Toronto. Elevators are constantly broken, cockroach infestation (thankfully no bedbugs tho!), so much construction/traffic noise, smells from neighbouring units, hot water down for days on end, washers that ruin your clothes, unsecure underground parking, weekly false fire alarms at all hours, loading dock with stairs (your movers will hate you) and a lobby with stairs (your grocery delivery people will hate you). Don't believe the listings, only the first 5 floors are renovated, all others are old with no AC.

In all truth, the instant I walked into my Bachelor Apartment at 7 Walmer and saw the spectacular view, how very well the room was cared for, AND, how quiet it all was, I said: I’ll take it!” I haven’t regretted it once. There have been times when something needs fixing (most always my fault) and there is, as I call him, the superintendent, Henry my Handyman. HENRY can fix ANYTHING! I mean, how lucky can a guy get? I can’t fix ANYTHING!. The office is run with great proficiency with Tess at the helm as resident manager/superintendent. Once again, she just knows what she’s doing and she executes her job, I think, with great professionalism and efficientcy, and, seemingly quite effortlessly.- which is a testament to her obvious intelligence and abilities! Thanks to and for Henry and Tess for their help and, perhaps even more importantly, their kindness! On the other side of the hill, there have been a few too many fire alarms for my taste (something to do with the garage door and some “dubious activities” down yonder), and, occasionally, the odd and very loud “apartment party”, but this IS an apartment building and these “events” happen…..Life in the big city! In closing, I’ll simply say that whenever I walk into my “BACIO” (bachelor/studio apartment),especially at night with the candles glowing, music playing (quietly) and the really beautiful and expansive view of the city, AND, the quiet)…….I am…grateful!
