This used to be a half-decent pharmacy but every time I've been there in the last year it gives the impression of being so overwhelmed by the demands of COVID testing and vaccines and so chaotic that any customer concern is out the window. No one answers the phone, so if you need to discuss anything with a pharmacist - like whether your prescription is ready - you're out of luck. When you go to pick up a prescription, you wait in line for twenty minutes with many others while one person deals with the pickups and seven others are just too busy to help. Then you finally get your turn and discover that the prescription you called in several days ago isn't ready. This happens over and over, and to everyone.

Pharmacy and Pharmacist is just terrible. Booked an appointment for a COVID test. Three of us just stood there ignored for 20 minutes. Literally ignored. Finally someone took our money… then waited some more. There was nobody ahead of us; there were no other customers; no backlog of customers; just total indifference. Finally called into back office where the Pharmacist was hiding. Now 25 minutes late. Excuse was β€˜we are short staffed’. Um, no. There were no customers. They just can’t be bothered.

I regret ever transferring my prescriptions here. Nobody answers the pharmacy phone and you need to go in person to do anything (with long wait times). Once you go in person, prepare to encounter major lines and overcrowded conditions. The customer service from this store's pharmacy is absolutely reprehensible and corporate should investigate. I have never experienced these kinds of conditions at any Shoppers Pharmacy EVER.

Negative star if it is possible! My niece went for her COVID PCR test appointment. 4 days later, she got a call from the pharmacy informing that they have lost her test result in transit! They asked if she would like to go back for another test. She got an appointment the next morning and went there on time. They had her scheduled in but could not find her documents! She waited there for 1.5 hours and was told they could not locate her documents and could not give her the test! What a joke! Complete waste of her morning plus the evening when she went for her first appointment. Avoid this location at all costs!

I’m just passing thru and got some toiletries the Asian staff was friendly and courteous. It was a Wednesday and I have to congratulate the manager the sale item that I bought was well stocked usually as per my experience with other Shoppers Drug Mart branches they don’t replenish the sale items for the week they will just wait for the next pricing week.

On several occasions I've asked for prescriptions to be transferred from my previous pharmacy. I often have to call back because days later nobody has followed through. It's a busy pharmacy so the long line ups and being put on hold when I call could be understandable, but they seem incredibly disorganized.

As another reviewer said, this is only a review of the pharmacy. I have no issues with the retail part of the store. I have been a consistent customer for over 20 years and I am so fed up that I am switching to a new pharmacy. It is impossible to get through a person in the pharmacy. Today, the phone is going entirely unanswered. It's is not even going to the automated system. Prescriptions faxed by my doctor often take days to fill. When I ask how long it will be to wait to have a prescription filled, they always underestimate the time by at least half an hour. They are chronically "understaffed today", except "today" is every day, week in and week out.

Please note that this is just a review of the pharmacy, not the whole store. I've worked retail before so I am usually understanding when I get bad customer service. However, I've never seen anything worse than this pharmacy. Here is my experience trying to transfer a prescription to this location. I tried to transfer my prescription 20 days before I was set to run out using the online transfer feature, which told me I would hear that my prescription was ready in a few days. I didn't hear back at all, but I just assumed this was down to the unreliability of online forms. 9 days later I tried calling a few times but they didn't pick up, so I went to the pharmacy to request the transfer in person. The person I spoke to took down my information ON A STICKY NOTE, which I assume got misplaced or maybe even went straight to the recycling bin because I again did not receive any confirmation. I called my old pharmacy to see if the issue was on their end, and they instantly picked up and let me know that they had received no communication from the Shoppers pharmacy. After trying to call shoppers another TEN TIMES, none of which were answered, I went back to the store today with only 4 pills left, and after speaking with a much more helpful pharmacy employee (who is the reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1) I finally got confirmation by text that my number was in the system and they were working on getting my prescription transferred. Still no confirmation that the transfer has actually gone through, but at least there's some progress. I'm very lucky that I made my first attempt so early on, because I probably would have been left to suffer through withdrawal if I hadn't given it so much time. If you're trying to transfer a prescription to a pharmacy in the area, PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PHARMACY. Even if the next pharmacy is further away, it will be worth it to not have to deal with this stressful experience. It's ironic that the process of getting anti-anxiety medication is making me need it even more.
