I called days before the 416.289 number and asked if everyone was fully vaccinated. I did not get a call back as was promised. When I arrived the manager, Anabelle, told me that two people were not vaccinated and both were scheduled for me. She quickly changed the person for my hair which I appreciated and explained that I could choose to cancel my makeup which I did. I am NOT comfortable with taking off my mask and having and unvaccinated person do my makeup. I was quite upset as this was for my nieces wedding. During my hair appointment Annabelle came to me and told me she had made a switch and that she would do my makeup. I was very, very grateful. Both my hair and makeup were great! Annabelle was great. I would not go back or recommend until they put a fully vaccinated policy in place and that includes customers. I am trying to protect the children that cannot be vaccinated. It is too bad the blo does not have the same attitude.

hairstyle was very uncomfortable with pins jamming into scalp, had to be significantly modified after appt. was supposed to be loose curls with braid in updo

The stylist gave me a style opposite to what I asked for. When complete, instead of admitting it was wrong, she answered with the overused lie of β€˜it will fall/loosen’. It didn’t…and I needed my hair to look fab within an hour. It looked overdone and frizzy. The opposite of the smooth, loose style I asked for.

I love this place! They’re quick and you come out looking like you just stepped out of a magazine cover! Annabelle did my hair and did so much more than what I was expecting…not only did she blow dry my frizzy hair but then she flat ironed it and then added a few rollers in just the right spots for a glamours look!

I could rate this a 0/5 I would. I spent two hours at Blo Dry Bar in Vaughan. I spent one hour getting my hair curled and the second hour getting makeup done. The one picture below (the nice one) was the sample of the hair and make up I was looking for. This picture is of me after 8 hours into a night out from receiving the same kind of service from a competitor. The terrible picture below with a grey looking face and flat hair was taken THE MINUTE I left Blo. I was still in their parking lot. This is how they sent me out to attend a black tie event. The curls were non-existent by the time my makeup was complete. And the makeup was so terrible I couldn’t even explain to them how to fix it. On top of all this, the service was terrible. When I arrived, no one asked me to have a seat and wait. I just stood at the counter. No one showed me hair style options. The person doing my hair chatted with her colleague and spoke rudely about her friends from here previous evening. She stared at herself in the mirror most of the time and made me feel like she couldn’t wait to be done work. She had no interest in asking what I was getting my hair done for to find out what might be a good style option. After all of this and showing my extreme disappointment with both services, I was not offered an apology or a discount. Please, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Went to the blo bar Vaughan location this morning and was happy with the outcome of my hair but not with the service provided. Two of the staff weren't in masks (including the woman who washed and blow dried my hair). Given how close your stylists are to their customers I think it's appropriate for them to be wearing one. A suggestion moving forward: If your customer is wearing a mask, then I believe it would be the right thing to do is for the stylist to ask the customer if they would like them to wear one. Or just automatically wear one to make the customer feel more comfortable. I will not be going back to this blo bar location.
