Many of the original features have been preserved. Notably are the pressed nickel/copper composite siding designed to look like stone and the unusual angle of the building, it is not square to the street. You may also notice the spectacular details on the corners and the cornice moulding.
We have only 20 seats in an intimate European setting. With a one seating per table policy for our evening service, you never wait and are never rushed. This is how you are supposed to eat.

We have been there with smaller kids and the kids were not super happy about the balsamic dressing...so they offered up some plain veggies instead and we didn't have to pay anything extra! Both the chef and the host make you feel right at home and are always willing to accommodate anything you require! Also the avocado prawns are to die for ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I visited Bistro 1882 for the first time yesterday for dinner. What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife team (the husband runs the front of house; the wife does the cooking) and they’ve done a fantastic job with their restaurant. The husband was our server and was friendly, welcoming, polite, and attentive. He is also quite knowledgeable about the history of the building in which the restaurant is housed. The wife is a fabulous cook - our meal was delicious!! We also appreciate that they source a lot of their ingredients locally. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Bistro 1882!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our new favourite French style bistro in Okotoks. We popped by for a late dinner and boy were we impressed. We were served by the owner who is very passionate about his restaurant. I had the Reuben which was perfect and the Cotes de Rhonda wine was the perfect temperature. We will be back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food, restaurant is run and owed by a husband and wife. Great service. Everything homemade. Had the special, soup and sandwich. Soup was great but the sandwich was fantastic. Goat cheese, prochiuto, tomoto and pesto and bun toasted to perfection.

As always this is just my opinion based on my experience.
We started with the Avocado and Prawns very tasty, and a great way to start a meal. I moved on to the Duck Margret with Saskatoon Berries, while my wife had the Sterling Obie Braised Beef Bourguignon. The Duck was amazing... I could ramble on about how everything is fresh and local and cooked to perfection, but I think everyone should experience the food here. Also the place itself is cozy and made for a perfect evening. The service was excellent, and very knowledgeable.
Great place with good value and amazing food.
