My family has been enjoying Birch Crest Resort for 22+ yrs....the accommodations are very rustic and with all that the needed necessities to make a weekend or a weeks stay enjoyable. The area is a piece of Heaven mixed with tranquility, the familiar sounds of the evening Loons with an amazing backdrop of the Horn Lake sunset have made our several returns for a little R&R a bonus. The Stewart Family are very friendly and always helpful and accommodating. We look forward to each return.

In July of this year, we spent another great week at Birch Crest Resort. This was the 4th time our family and extended family have been to this resort and it did not disappoint. The beautiful setting on Horn Lake is exactly what we came for. This resort has a great beach area for your favourite activities, fantastic fishing, and an incredible waterfront. The cabins/cottages are fully furnished and beautifully situated on the lakefront. Looking forward to returning next year.

We just got home from Birch Crest Resort in Burks Falls.. I am not a princess and neither is my family so this place is amazing... we didn't want TV or WiFi so the fact that its not available suits us fine... Everything in our cabin although dated worked as it should... with no problems... We stayed in cabin 3 with 2- 14 year old girls and 4 adults, and our 2 dogs. We were not cramped... I was surprised by the water pressure and heat of the shower perfect!! The view was amazing... The girls jumped off the cliff which was a short boat ride away... the guys fished although they didn't catch anything big enough to eat... thankfully (yuk) lol... quiet time around the fire in the evening... shout out to our neighbors for being an awesome bunch on both sides of us... horse shoes... basketball... kayaks... boat and motor... cliff jumping... sandy Beach for swimming... bbq... pet friendly as long as they are friendly and leashed... as a dog owner I'd also recommend vaccinated.... Dave and Bev are friendly and amazing... we even met their son who was friendly and grandchild... We drove 3 hours for this COVID cottage vacation and we will again... Cottage was clean upon arrival.. I resanitized just incase and we left it as we found it clean and sanitized.. Hmmm what can I say bad after all this is a review?? Oh there was a mouse (which is completely expected?) so we went to town 15 mins away and a beautiful drive... bought a trap... and TA DA... problem solved... our entire trip for a week for 6 people... 3 cars 6 hours ofdriving total.. all of our groceries.. drinks... firewood and fuel for our vehicles and the boat which we went out in everyday was less then 1800... pretty affordable vacation for R&R and so many firsts for the girls... definitely a trip to remember... We miss you already Dave and Bev see you next summer who knows maybe twice... Remember folks if your looking for an all inclusive first class trip dont go here its not for you!! But if you enjoy the outdoors and being left alone to do your own thing and being on the water and bonfires and making your own home cooked meals and reconnecting with your family at an affordable price... this is the place... Money well spent!!! Thanks again Birch Crest.. the memories made here will never be forgotten!!

My wife and I have vacationed at "Birch Crest Resort" many times since our first visit in 1968. We have enjoyed staying in cabin #6 for the past 8 years. The boat and motor which was included was only 30 feet away. The cabin is always clean, comfortable and well equipped. Bev and Dave are friendly hosts and are always ready to assist us. The resort is a piece of paradise and a place to which you will want to return. It is a great resort for you, your family and your pets. Bob & Pat Cohoon Dorchester ON. July 2020

My family and I have been coming up here for the last 20+ years. We have found the lake very beautiful and quiet. Bev and Dave do their best to make sure everyone is welcome to the resort and has an enjoyable time! We enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, and scuba diving on this magnificent lake. Cottages are located right on the water with a BBQ and your own fire pit. Would highly recommend anyone to visit. Located about a 3 hour drive north of Toronto.

This place is a gem! Owners are so nice. I never had been in the water before. They gave me lessons for kayaking as well for no charges. Their cottages are so beautiful and are equipped with all the essential. It has a great swimming dock. You can sit on it and enjoy the sunset, which is most beautiful. I had cook for them and they loved my food. Never seen a such beautiful place.

Beautiful and scenic and the glorious Sun sets right in front of you. Cabins can be rented Saturday to Saturday and are fairly priced. They have three small and three little bigger cabins all facing waterfront. Water is clean! Very family friendly and owner guards these premises like a hawk. You immediately feel 'safe' when you enter here. You can use their kayaks and life jackets etc. A small boat is included in the cabin booking too. Fully operational kitchen with BBQ and fire pit outside. We were asked to bring our own sheets, blankets and pillows. Bathrooms are outside and is common. Burk's falls is 15 minutes away in case you need supplies. They have a store on-site but it's closed now due to covid. You need to call them to make a booking and they are usually very responsive. Rustic and small cabins but with those views outside... who would be indoors anyway?!

We just discovered Birch Crest this year, and we absolutely love it! It's our 'happy place.' Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This isn't your typical busy, crammed, loud, partying trailer park/resort. If that's what you're looking for - this place isn't for you. Birch Crest is a quiet, safe family park. It's a relaxing place to enjoy nature and spend time with your family. Sitting by the campfire at night, you'll here the loons on the lake - not your neighbors partying, and that's exactly what we love about it. Kids can have fun, but can't be out wondering late in the evening - which is great, because we get to spend the evening with them around the campfire. Amenities are more basic then a lot of parks, but they have everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy your time on the lake!
