★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's quite rustic and basic + plus quite the climb up 22 switchbacks on a busy and well graded trail. Pack lightly. After the effort of getting to the campsite, it's really worth while walking around the lake. I make it a day trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic lake. Rather interesting climb with all the switch backs, but worth the hike. Local deer are very tame, though just take your time and let them do their own thing as this is their home. The scenery amazing with the mixture of unburned forest and regrowth.
