Beanpod Chocolate is one of the original bean-to-bar companies in Canada, and one of only a few in the world that specialises in making chocolate the traditional old-fashioned way.
Organic beans sourced directly from farmers, loving turned into decadent chocolate in small batches using authentic stone grinding machines, with no preservatives, or additives - chocolate as it should be.
We are a true 'cacao bean to chocolate bar' manufacturer and specialize in fine flavour chocolate products. We are happy to sacrifice modern speed for old fashioned quality and freshness. Consequently it takes an average of five day and a half days to make each batch of fresh chocolate. These time intensive processes allow us to maximize flavour, develop texture and mouthfeel, and provide customers with a greater tasting experience. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer service was ahhhhmazing and the barista was cheerful and believe this or not but not afraid to take my old paper cup and recycle it. The coffee was delicious but the chocolates...OMG ??? Decadence meets creamy, natural goodness with a perfect balance between sweetness and flavour. We will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time in Fernie. James gave us a great introduction of the store, production process and knowledge behind it. It was a blessing to have him show us around and even recommend places to go for food.
Great experience, I couldn't thank him enough.
Chocolate itself, it's so smooth and tasted awesome. We bought quite a bit. I usually can't eat anything above the 78% cocoa but the chocolate from this store is just amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute shop, fast paced but great service and handcrafted gelato and hot drinks. Encironment felt a tad cold and empty regardless of the high volume of customers coming in, they may have remived tables cause pandemic? Overall gelato was great (honey comb was a with our family)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really the only place to go for chocolate. Most chocolate shops buy slabs and melt them down, this place is truly bean to bar. The processing area is visible through a glass wall, some of the equipment is 100 years old. All the bars are great, try the sampler pack it has a good selection for a reasonable price, the pb&j and lavender individual chocolates are awesome. The hot chocolate is simply amazing. Their Gelato is perfect, especially with a shot of espresso poured over it. Their fresh Italian roast coffee is so good. I have to stop here every time I'm in Fernie, this place is doing right, their passion is evident in all they do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice little place to stop for a cup of latte, gelato and house made chocolate. We tried the pomegranate mint 85% dark chocolate and it was delicious. The owner was very friendly and I loved how family members help out as well. The couches are comfortable to sit in but the problem of having these in a public space is keeping them in pristine condition. This place is highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family popped in just before closing and there were 6 of us grabbing gelato and chocolate! Everything was great - honeycomb was a fave as was mango and salted caramel. Chocolate was on par with Peruvian chocolate makers. The gentleman behind the counter was also very friendly and patient. The kids loved being able to see the back!
