★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. I called on Tuesday to the west end location in Ottawa to reserve a man lift for my weekend project. Pick was to be today.
Called to verify my rental was there as I have had the the equipment not be there in the past.
On Tuesday they said they had one available and that they would bring over from the east end. They don’t take credit cards over the phone so bring it in Friday when you pick up the equipment.
So as I said before I called to verify it was there before heading out to pick it up. They guy on the phone said sorry we don’t have one available for you. Not even anywhere in the city.
No offer of other equipment to replace the missed reservation. I’m now stuck trying to locate equipment last minute that I thought I had secured on Tuesday.
Not impressed at all. I thought the whole idea of a reservation was to ensure they would have the equipment on hand. Now I’m in a severe problem with my construction project.
Beware this appears to be common. This is twice for me out of 3 rentals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far, so good! My first CAT purchase and so far the service is much better than the other manufacturer of equipment I use. I plan to buy 2 more pieces of CAT equipment in the spring. I'll see how thee winter goes though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service - absolutely do not bring your tools here for service. They have very little communication skills and move at a snails pace.
I've brought 2 different quick cuts in to have serviced or fixed and both times was quoted 2 Day and both time it was 2 weeks.
1 of those times they couldn't even get an air filter or communicate the status of when.
Thanks but no thanks. ! Not very knowledgeable about they're own products they rent or sell.
