Purchased over 1000 square feet of engineered hardwood. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, the quality and price of the wood is second to none. Of the 1000 square feet I laid I did not come across a single piece I had to throw out due to warping etc. The quality is fantastic.

Ordered up 600 plus sqf of hardwood that originally was to be 10 weeks to delivery. At about the 8th week I tried to touch base with Bass Lake to get any up date that may help to keep my installer on line. Spoke to numerous people mainly Danny the Manager whom said he would get back to me either by email or Phone with an update. not once in at least 6 tries did I ever hear back. Called down to Breeze wood in Tillsonburg and spoke to I believe Goga very pleasant and helpful gave me my actual Order number and where my order was in the Q. Received a call from Tillsonburg letting me know my order was a week out and then a final call that it was being packaged up for shipping.. Still not one word, call, shout out from Bass lake. A week later I get my first call from Danny that its been delivered to the Bass Lake location, this is now 14 weeks after the order was placed. Arrive to pick up the order I was the only person there you would think this was the easy part. Danny was on the phone 75% of the time which left me loading 35 plus 70lb boxes of hard wood mostly my self from behind a pallet of wood, as this was as close as he could get it with the tow motor. However, hard wood looks amazing.. Shout out to Chris Tinney and his guys at Oaks Landing Flooring.. Highly recommend!!

I bought 35 boxes of Hickory 2 1/4 & 3 1/4 hardwood flooring. Plus 65 SF of stair nose. Both equaling $5,831.04. I personally had the flooring picked up in Tilsonburg because I had organized a contractor to install the flooring after 2 weeks to have it climatized and was told it would only be a week before it would arrive at Bass Lake Outlet by a staff member. I might add cost me a lot of money because it was a 7-8 hour return trip. The flooring was picked up on April 8, 2021. The manager at that time was Bob from Bass Lake Outlet. He guaranteed me that the two sizes were equal in the boxes and if they were not, he would fix the problem. I have a picture of the longer 3 1/4 that were left over when the flooring was completed. My problem is that I have three full boxes left over and the new manager at Bass Lake Outlet will not let me return the boxes for a refund. Either will the manager, Andre at Breezewood Floors. Their excuse is that the flooring had to be returned within a month. I was not told any info from Bob or any other staff member the time frame for returns and also all my paperwork does not have it noted as well. I have been in contact with both managers and have sent all the paperwork to Andre and have not received any reply. I have been in touch with these two managers for several months. With the pandemic happening there were closures and contractors not showing up, therefore it did take more then a month to have the flooring installed which is beyond my control. It has been a stressful time for everyone and with the three unopened boxes setting In my kitchen/family room, it is a thorn in my side. I would not give the above a 5 star, maybe a 0.

I have purchased and installed 6 complete floors from Bass Lake Lumber over the years. It was always our go to place to purchase without question until now. (We have moved a lot) On January 15th 2022 we went to buy for our basement 900 Square feet and dealt with Danny. Very pleasant experience. Danny took the extra step and showed us what he had in stock which was at a slightly discounted price. We purchase 960 of their in stock flooring and Danny stated as we were writing up the invoice that you should always calculate extra. (never have calculated that much overage in the past but we agreed and bought 960') Earlier in our conversation we did ask if we could return if we had too much and he stated we could. A week and a half later job complete - looks awesome and a very pleased customer once again. Clean up begins - They are closed Monday so: February 1, 2022 I go to return the 60 extra feet that I did not think I needed only to find out that "NO" "YOU CANNOT RETURN" After much anger and rudeness from Danny (very disappointed) he explained that the owner would be very upset and that he will most likely lose his job? Really? One is better not to work for a guy that would fire you for looking after the customer but....For rudeness ok but doing a return? Danny then stated that he would take it back at a 18% restock - I agreed but his math is not very good as he charged me 20%. (I was there over an hour arguing to get to this point so I did not interrupt) NOTE: It does not say "no returns" anywhere in their showroom nor was it on my invoice. However it is better to take a 20% hit than have it sitting in my garage. (I was not going to bring it up that he calculated 20% instead of the 18% and get my neck ripped off again) (but really?) It has been one week since the return event and I have not seen my credit which means I will have to go back and start this fight all over again. Bass Lake Lumber took my money but are not that fast to credit. I called Visa and they stated 1 - 3 business days. (Costco credits same day) We always try to support local business. HOWEVER if we had purchased this at Costco, Home Depot or Home Hardware as examples there would not be a 20% restocking fee, an argument or delay on doing the right thing. They would credit without an issue. (Not to mention no one would be getting fired and I would not have been treated so poorly) When we purchased the flooring Bass Lake Lumber had an additional 140' remaining so taking back the 60' would be more saleable in my opinion to do a small space = 200' is better than 140'. Correct? Bass Lake Lumber has taken a very loyal customer to ZERO because they will not do the right thing. My advise if you are reading this, buy your flooring where the business will look after you after the sale. We are very disappointed and still upset for being treated so poorly after the sale. The shame of it is Bass Lake Lumber have great quality product but with no interest in their customers is not worth buying from them.
