★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tool rental managers Steph, Jen, and Rudy are difficult to deal with, rude, and unhelpful. The tool tech Brian doesn't do a good job ensuring tools are in working order.
Prepare to be blamed when the tool you rent is faulty or doesn't work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently we went into the store to purchace a new gas range. There was no customers in the area of ranges. There was an associate sitting looking at a computer while we looked at all the stoves but he didn't make any move to ask or inquire as to what we were looking for so we went over to Leons and made the purchase. Might be a while before we make a major purchase in that department.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We rented a carpet cleaner and the service department was so helpful. They explained how to use the machine as it was my first time using it and was so thorough and kind. That’s what I call customer service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the 3rd time I had been in waiting for some one to help me to place an order for 2 out side doors and a large window and no one was to be found after waiting 30 min.. yesterday was the 3rd time I waited and I had 2 associates try to page some one to help and no one came. the second associate told me he worked at the mill desk and was to busy to help me but I could e-mail him what I wanted and he would get back to me... I took the time off to come and order these things I wanna sit down with someone and pick out the doors and window... why is this so hard at home depot.. so annoyed. I wont be back to purchase my doors and window. I have spent enough of my time waiting for someone to help me... so disappointed at home depot.

I am very pleased with my purchase - the snow may be gone for this winter, but thanks to Michael I am now ready for the next season.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The people in the store are pretty great specially the self checkout. Which usually is super proactive. When you have multiple items or heavy items they will scan for you before you find a way to do it.
And the people walking in the store are awesome. Always there to help with any questions. They know the store from inside out. Not sure how they memorize every item’s location!
My only issue (reason for 4 stars) was when we ordered online. The customer service on the phone was ridiculous.
They literally didn’t care to help had no sympathy if you needed help or is desperate for answers . They just want to hang up the phone as soon as they can and they will do!.
That was really disgusting and disappointing. We had to go through the chat to get some help after several attempts with the phone. So if you have problem don’t bother calling. Go to the chat.
I would avoid ordering anything online to be honest unless you have no rush at all. Because none of the tracking matter and are most of the time not accurate.
But if you are visiting the store you will be in good hands. Warranted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cashier in the garden centre was no help. She did not know if they had the product and did know how to ask anyone else in the department. Home Depot is a very large store and expected this 65 year old to walk it all to find out. Will not be going back there. Picked up what I needed at a different vendor's store. They had very helpful cashiers and stock personnel who helped.
