★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Frank at Barrie Vacuums saved me so much money today when I brought a broken Hoover to his store seeking service or advice on fixing it or not. I found it thrown out, brand new looking but making a funny "funnel" noise when it was running. Immediately, Frank showed me inside a hidden compartment which was over stuffed with dirt, dust and debris, which would have caused the motor to soon burn out if not cleaned thoroughly. I can't beleive I didn't see it myself when I was taking it apart! Frank says they build them that way in the hopes someone will overlook cleaning that compartment and the motor will eventually burn out....leading you to go buy a new one. Makes perfect sense! Even though Frank could have charged me for his time, which took about 20 minutes... he did not. Instead, Frank only asked me to give him an honest review on Google. Therefore, I can pass on that Frank Marengere is an honest and generous local businessman who knows his vacuums! I'm giving Barrie Vacuums a 10* star rating because Franks kindness was paid forward today. Thank you Frank. I'll be back for a James or a Henry shop vac when I get the maintenance and cleaning jobs I've applied for (Fingers crossed). I'll need a good commercial vacuum cleaner and I love the little faces painted on the cannisters! Barrie Vacuums is conveniently open on a Saturday, locally owned, with lots of free parking!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are in store for vaccum products then this is the right place for you. Extremely knowledgeable staff and friendly demeanor. Don't waste your time looking for vaccum or vaccum-related accessories anywhere else. This store carries brand names like: Eureka, Beam, Duovac etc. In addition, the place is servicing vaccum equipment as well. Satisfied 100%, I shall return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Frank was very helpful on the phone when I explained what was happening with my Central vacuum. He diagnosed the problem so I brought it in to his shop. He was able to fix the issue within 10 minutes and I am very grateful for his help and honesty. He could have told me I needed a whole new Central vacuum system. Instead the fix was quick and easy for him because he is so knowledgeable about vacuum systems. I am very grateful for his knowledge and the fact that he genuinely wants to help. I would highly recommend this place and Frank. Thank you and please know that I will be using your store and recommending it going forward.
