★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a wonderful visitor centre with nice and friendly staff.
Inside, there are public washrooms. They have staff who can provide you with interesting features around Banff.
This is definitely a must stop location if you have never been here. They will outline what you can visit and possible trails around town.
It was actually staff here that helped us discover the nearby Minnewanka Lake. It's worth taking a drive there, but bring food as it's perfect for a picnic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely love that the Banff Visitor Centre has 8 EV charging stations - 4 for Tesla & 4 other spots. It was a great place to park with 3 hours to wander around Banff while charging. The charging isn't quick but it's free. It's great to see communities prioritizing EV charging to welcome more people to visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish all government support entities were like Banff Visitor Center. Consistently we find the people friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Not only do they know the information you are requesting but so many times they have personal experience to add to their answers. Certainly worth a visit and the washrooms are handy as well.

After a few introductory questions about how long we'll be in town and what were in the mood to do, he pulled out a local map and a highlighter pen and got to work. He was a fountain of great local knowledge! He gave easy to understand directions and encouraged us to consider some activities we hadn't thought about. I am so glad we did! We took a scenic drive and saw some amazing wildlife. He suggested the Cave & Basin Park - totally worth going. With new knowledge of the area in hand, we headed out for a trip full of insider tips and places to go.
I am so grateful to the staff at this Visitor Center! It was a clean friendly place to pop in and get maps or just use the restroom.
