The staff are highly under valued and residents recieve poor quality. Every manager dances around issues you bring forward about what is happening. Deanna she has been a psw there for a long time and thankfully workers like her will tell you what is really going on standing up to the company putting residents interests first. Managers should conduct themselves like her and take one from her page book caring for residents first before the company.

Unfortunately his health was in rapid decline at this time . The wellness team and on staff doctor helped Dad and our family navigate this very challenging time. The compassion and understanding of everyone on staff was amazing and appreciated. Thanks and keep up your great work.
P	Peggy Ham on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Mother is a resident there and pays a handsome monthly amount. She had a fall and had an open wound that bleed profusely all over her carpet. Housekeeping tried to get it up but did not succeed - they will try a 2nd extraction next week. Meanwhile the blood will develop bacteria and start to stink not to mention stain the carpet. This is not the only issue with this so called high end retirement home. Laundry and cleaning is not done when it is supposed to be, laundry facilities are tied up by housekeeping staff so residents families cannot even come in and do the laundry like bedding and towelling which is supposed to be included with the monthly rent. Cleaning does not happen on a regular basis, I finally cleaned my moms bathroom one visit and I took green algae off of her vanity. Her soap dish had the same dust from months ago. We have been told Mom won't let them in and also that they are short staffed that week! Honestly -pretty poor excuses if you ask me. I have raised concerns and no one responds! If you want nothing for your dollars then this is the place for you.

They advertise incredible food plans and photos and yet the reality is sub par with mostly promises to change in the future. Residents are still waiting on the new Spring Summer menu and it's June. Terrible turn over and efforts by some great staff are clearly going on deaf ears at the CEO level. It's crazy to me that they aren't making simple changes that would benefit their own community.

Nice Rec therapist and some of the staff do their best. She has enjoyed meeting other residents. However empty promises, continuous unanswered questions, a complete lack of care and respect for the residents is the common theme.
S	Susan Himel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Balmoral Place is a modern day version of a luxury 'jail'. The local staff, if they can retain them, are lovely and seem to be very caring. But the high turnover rate is an indicator of how poorly led this company is. From personal experience eating there prior to COVID, and throughout the pandemic as reported to our family, the food continues to be inadequate and unpalatable. A number of residents and their family members tried to work with management to get improvements after hearing that the raw food budget is less than what is legislated for LTC Homes and jails in Ontario, but to no avail. Do not believe what the brochures are telling you! And there is still no liquor licence after 3+ years of operation! We have friends whose parents used to be at Balmoral that found their loved ones living in filthy conditions. Deep cleaning is rarely (if ever) done, as staff have 16 minutes to clean each apartment per week, including the time it takes to do their laundry. There is no longer a physician available to serve the Retirement Home residents, and you may or may not have someone answer a call bell if your loved one has a fall. Bottom line, until MTCO starts caring about delivering what they promise to residents and families, their reputation in the community will continue to be terrible. And at least three of these 5* reviews are employees, family of employees, or associates of MTCO if you google their names, so in fact, the rating should be much lower than it currently shows.

He has worked extremely hard through his life and I can’t describe in words how disappointed I am with the owners and management of Balmoral Place Collingwood. I want to start off by saying that anyone reading this review and is considering this facility really needs to do a thorough review before making a final decision. Promises made during the introduction are not completely accurate. The facility itself is quite beautiful and several of the staff are caring and amazing. But before you make a final decision I suggest you talk to some family members of the residents. The food given to the residents is absolutely horrible. Many of the meals are simply inedible. Please be careful when considering this place. I don’t want to see anyone else facing what my father in law faces everyday. Do your research and consider everything carefully.
