★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al (Alberto) recently overhauled my vintage GMT (1675), which I had purchased from him at Swedish Jewellers back in 2007. Al performed a series incredibly exacting final adjustments at my request, due to my own neurotic tendencies with respect to this piece. Incidentally, I should mention that most Rolex’s don’t come from the factory as ‘well adjusted’ as this one. Years ago, I knew him as more of a businessman, but this time I was able to experience him as the Rolex technician he really is; his skills and attention to detail is right up the with the best in North America. His appreciation for vintage pieces really shines, as does his knowledge of them and their respective nuances. He has certainly ‘been around the block’ in the would of watches; his own father Anatolio is also an excellent watchmaker and a true gentlemen. Al kept me updated via text the whole way.

He spent several months looking for parts, cleaning, and repairing them, and I'm thrilled to say that he was able to bring all of them back to life!
